VISITING Coffee And Tea Plantations Inside Mae Salong Tribes - Thailand Road Trip Part 2
The cool weather, the silence, nature, the people; all bringing a very sweet feeling of peace.
Mae Salong is indeed a place for relaxation, an escape from busy cities and minds.
One day in the village and my wish was to rent a hut for a month. There’s just something about it, a purity, a sense of calmness, I can’t really put it into words.

Coffee & Tea Growing in Mae Salong, Thailand
Video log of my coffee and tea buying trip to the Chinese community of Mae Salong in Chiang Rai, Thailand. A people with an interesting history at unusual travel destination, fuelled by coffee and tea tasting in the mountain plantations.
Choui Fong Tea Plantation and Doi Mae Salong
Pie and I are taking a couple of our subscribers up to Choui Fong Team Plantation and then across the Doi Mae Salong Mountains. The tea plantation is a great place to relax and just enjoy the scenery and then of course the ride over the Doi Mae Salong mountains is just incredible. It’s another great reason to visiting Chiang Rai in Northern Thailand.

Chiang Rai: Choui Fong and 101 Tea Plantations & Tea Ceremony Travel Guide
For half a century, Choui Fong Tea has been well-known for the highest quality traditional teas cultivated in its own gardens in Chiang Rai – the agricultural center in the kingdom of Thailand. In terms of production capacity, Choui Fong is the largest compared to other tea producers in the province of Chiang Rai. Choui Fong has been in existence for over 40 years and consistently, the company has maintained a very high standard of quality.
Having placed first at the World Tea Festival in 2004 for their oolong tea no. 12 and no. 17, 101 Tea Plantation is rightfully famous. Their Tea plantation are on hills and offers amazing scenic views. I had the change to participate to a Tea ceremony where I try several of their Tea such as Oolong Tea and Red Tea. They have an amazing diversity of Tea from the Green Tea to Black Tea with full of different taste.
