While waiting for others to arrive Haunui took us to see the surfers catch teahupoo famous waves and seen a large groups of dorphins around the area. Then moved on the the other side of islands which can only be access by boat. First stop of swim pass the reef full of colourful big & small fishes, then swim through the door way and there it was refreshing waterfall appear before your eyes.. then we walked along the reefs to visit the natural waterfall.. where we seen massive hermit crap ( the size of adult hands)... Second stop is where we did a little hike adventure through the beautiful forests lots of beautiful scenic coastline. At the end of the journey there is a fresh natural pool where we can try and catch some shrimps and put your survival skills into test. Opportunity for photo with lovely waterfall back drop. Then we head back for lunch and snorkel. Last stop at Tarzan rope swing a chance to let yourself go wild and be kids again. Me and my boyfriend had and amazing tour with Haunui & Mauria. Thank you for your friendly, informative, and lovely hospitality. You both making this an adventurous day for us. X its pretty much a whole day tour worth every penny

All the fun surfs with friends and ct guys that led up to and during the trials down in Tahiti, as always we had a good time through out. Hanging with friends and watching Seth Moniz and Griffin Colapinto surf their first big day at Chopes was super rad!

Prince Diamond arrives in downtown Papeete. Carol flies home to Toronto temporarily. Brian watches a bicycle race, hikes up to the Fautaua valley waterfall and rides the bus to Point Venus where Cook landed to observe the transit of Venus in 1769. Point Venus was also the place where Captain Bligh and his Bounty loaded their breadfruit plants shortly before the famous mutiny.

We've been to a few surf competitions over the years, and we really enjoyed the vibe. So when we saw the Billabong Pro Tahiti world surf competition billboards plastered all around Tahiti, we thought: Why not go see some pro surfing?

This day at Teahupoo- Aug 27th 2011 during the Billabong Pro waiting period is what many are calling the biggest and gnarliest Teahupoo ever ridden. Chris Bryan was fortunate enough to be there working for Billabong on a day that will go down in the history of big wave surfing. The French Navy labeled this day a double code red prohibiting and threatening to arrest anyone that entered the water.
Kelly Slater described the day by saying witnessing this was a draining feeling being terrified for other people's lives all day long, it's life or death. Letting go of that rope one time can change your life and not many people will ever experience that in their life.

Air Teahupoo helicopter tour
Yew, Theaups Brah!
Waking up in Bora Bora, taking a beautiful helicopter ride over the magnificent islands of Tahiti, and meeting my friend Raimana for an awesome surf at Teahupoo.. Yeah, I think it's safe to say that this was by far one of the best days of my life! I had never ben in a helicopter and the thought of my first time being over miles of open ocean was unsettling to say the least. That mixed with my excitement and raw stoke to surf Teahupoo for the first time made for a hell of an experience! I felt so alive, yet that entire day felt surreal. The helicopter ride was a bit sketchy at first but I quickly settled in and was mesmerized by the spectacular view of the islands! The blue lagoons of Bora Bora were bright turquoise against many reefs and a deep blue ocean back drop. I felt as if I were flying over the oceans and soaring through the jungle mountains! I am extremely thankful to have been able to experience this amazing adventure and I will remember it for as long as I live.
