Upcycling is the process of making high quality products from garbage. Gabarage upcycling design is a social project based in Vienna. It makes environmentally sustainable designer pieces and everyday objects from garbage.
Vegan Products in Germany:
A growing number of people here in Germany reject the use of animal products and there are now restaurants and stores offering vegan products in cities around the country. Germany is home to some 600 thousand vegans.

But this is where you find GudrunGudrun, a label for knitwear that was founded back in 2006 and has since been featured in top fashion magazines like Elle and Vogue.

Müllmuseum Wallbach (Bad Säckinger Stadtgeschichten 2015)
Altes kann einen ganz besonderen Zauber ausüben. Was für den einen Müll ist und lieblos entsorgt wird, ist für andere ein kleiner Schatz. Wie aus weggeworfenen Gegenständen anderer Leute ein ganzes Museum wurde, fand Kameramann und Journalist Rainer Jörger bei seinen Dreharbeiten für die Bad Säckinger Stadtge- schichten heraus. 1991 gründete Erich Thomann, 85, das Müllmuseum, das im nächsten Jahr 25-jähriges Bestehen feiert. Er ar- beitete in der Mülldeponie Lachengraben, als er 1975 einen Teddy fand, den er um ein Haar mit seiner Planierraupe überrollt hätte. Der Teddy tat ihm leid und er nahm ihn mit. Fortan brachte er alles Mögliche nach Hause, säuberte und reparierte es mit seiner Frau Agnes, heute 81. Nach 16 Jahren wurde das Müllmuseum gegründet, im ehemaligen Stall des umgebauten Hofes. Sohn Karl Thomann, 49, der das Museum jetzt leitet, arbeitet ebenfalls in der Mülldeponie, sammelt aber nicht mehr.
