Tel Be'er Sheva is a National park, featuring the ruins of an Israelite Kingdom fortified administrative city. The ancient city is located between the Be'er Sheva and Hebron streams.
The Bible associated the acts of Abraham and Isaac to the name of the city, which reads in Hebrew as the Well of the oath, or seven wells.

Beer Sheva - From a biblical town to a modern city
Beer Sheva , the capital of the Negev desert, successfully evolved from a biblical town to a modern city full of life. Ben Gurion University of the Negev, a leading cyber-technology park, interesting museums and a vibrant night life all contribute to the economic and cultural boom of the city.
Blueprint Negev -Be'er Sheva
Be'er Sheva, known as the Capital of the Negev, is home to 200,000 residents. Through it runs Nahal Be'er Sheva (Be'er Sheva River), a muddy trickle of water except on the few days a year when flash floods run down its banks. The city's image has mirrored the landscape. Despite its historical significance, many have seen Be'er Sheva as a stagnant backwater, culturally and geographically isolated from the modern miracle of modern Israel.

Tel Be'er Sheva National Park ,תל שבע אתר ארכיאולוגי בבאר שבע
The earliest occupation at Beer-sheba during Iron Age I (Stratum IX) was represented only by seven large pits about 22 to 25 feet in diameter. Archaeologists believe that the entire settlement of this stratum covered about 2,990 sq. yards, approximately the area of half of a football field
Some archaeologists believe that Beer-sheba, which was on the southern border of the fledgling Israelite kingdom, was fortified by King Saul at the end of the 11th century B.C.E. during wars against the Amalekites
The site was restored by the Israel Nature and Parks Authority in 1990. In 2003, its water system was opened to the public as well. The excavated town is now open for visitors under the name Tel Be'er Sheva National Park

Be'er Sheva, Israel - The Future of the IDF and Cyber Security
In my role with the Rackspace Hosting startups program, I get to see the future through the lens of what's ever so slightly ahead in the world.
Welcome to Be'er Sheva, an entire community that is being built to shift much of the Israel Defense Forces and an entire Cybersecurity ecosystem with an expected 40,000 new people moving there.
Major corporates from around the world have already planted a flag, looking to tap into the brains and talents of a younger generation, startups with compelling and visionary product and platform ideas and large scale initiatives that will impact not only Israel, but the world.
If you want a good economic barometer, WeWork is opening yet another space in Be'er Sheva. They expect 400 new community members.
At the end of our journey during the #MoneyTrainIL - powered by Terra Venture Partners, Gil Abrams introduced us to Roy Zwebner
who gave a heartfelt talk about how the build-out of Be'er Sheva was really bringing a vision from David Ben-Gurion, the primary founder of the State of Israel and the first Prime Minister of Israel.
He saw Be'er Sheva as the future. Now, what will be almost 70 years later, this vision is coming to fruition.
The video is 7 minutes long. Gav-Yam Negev Tech Park - and it's next door neighbor, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, connected via train to Tel Aviv is about a one hour and fifteen minute ride away. The train is awesome, has worktables, and great WiFi.
Sort of like taking a train from Long Island and getting into Manhattan, and certainly the average commute in LA, and a bit shorter than it would take to get from San Antonio to Austin.
Distance is all relative.
When you go the distance, the future is not so far way...
