Tel Hazor - Aerial views (BibleWalks.com)
Tel Hazor is one of the largest, most important Biblical sites in the Canaanite and Israelite periods. The Bible gave it the title: the head of all those kingdoms.
Tel Hazor is located in the Upper Galilee region, on the North-east part of Israel. Its prime location on the main ancient road through Syria to Babylon, made it an important city.
This drone video approaches the site from the southern part of the Canaanite lower city. It passes above the ruins of the Israelite tower (8th century BC), then over the Israelite Citadel (9th century BC), finally reaching the water system (9th century BC).

Visiting Tel Gibeon water system, west bank, Israel - ביקור במערכת המים בתל גבעון, יוש, ישראל
Visiting the water system of Tel Gibeon dated to the Iron age: a huge pool cut in the living rock just inside the wall. It is 11.8m in diameter and 10.8m deep, with a spiral staircase of 79 steps cut into the walls of the pool, continuing downwards into a tunnel that provides access to a water chamber 24m below the level of the city. It is possible, but cannot be proven, that this structure is the pool of Gibeon of 2 Samuel 2:13. Later in the Iron Age, another tunnel of 93 steps was constructed to a better water source below the city starting from a point near the pool. A second access point to this source from the base of the hill is still in use today.

Tel Hatzor, the largest Biblical archeological site in Israel
Tel Hatzor is an archaeological site displaying the largest and richest known archeological remains in modern Israel. Hatzor was an ancient city located in the Upper Galilee, north of the Sea of Galilee, in the Hula Valley. Excavations have discovered 21 archaeological strata of successive settlements, which range from the 29th century BCE to the Hellenistic period.
Hatzor is a prominent city in the Bible. It was originally a Canaanite city that encompassed the entire tumulus. Joshua captured and burned Hazor as told in Joshua 11. Later the city became an Israelite city under King Solomon. Archeologists have uncovered grand Solomonic Gates which are a testimony to the remarkable building activity under Solomon as described in 1 Kings 9:15.

Biblical Tels - Megiddo, Hazor, Beer Sheba
Tels (prehistoric settlement mounds), are characteristic of the flatter lands of the eastern Mediterranean, particularly Lebanon, Syria, Israel and eastern Turkey. Of more than 200 tels in Israel, Megiddo, Hazor and Beer Sheba are representative of those that contain substantial remains of cities with biblical connections. The three tels also present some of the best examples in the Levant of elaborate Iron Age, underground water-collecting systems, created to serve dense urban communities. Their traces of construction over the millennia reflect the existence of centralized authority, prosperous agricultural activity and the control of important trade routes.
