Pharaoh Walkthrough: Mission 27 - Seti in the Valley (Deir El-Medina 3) [3/3]
Seti in the Valley is the third of four trips to Deir El-Medina and requires much more than the previous two, which include a bigger tomb, more people and higher ratings.
The first thing you will notice about this mission is that there is an extra dock port, more straight line coasts and more water ways. This is deliberate because of the higher ratings that are being requested. You will also notice the military button isn't greyed out, but there is still no military activity in this mission: the only reason it is available is to deal with Crime Waves*.
There is a Temple Complex to Ra already placed which will keep Ra happy most of the time. Your other gods are Osiris and Ptah, make sure to keep them happy all of the time as flood quality is really quite crap in Deir El-Medina.
Begin building the city near to the jutting land which has a Ferry Landing already built. You'll need to get started quickly as many requests will come around early into the mission, namely linen. To better serve these requests, get the housing evolved to about Spacious Apartment.
Once you've gotten this bit of the city thriving, build the Beer producing settlement along the path near the Temple Complex. Overproduce barley and beer as it is one of the main requests that will continue to appear throughout the mission (between 1000-1500 beer every so often to Waset for a festival for Ra). Export whatever pottery, beer and linen you can, before building the settlement for the Large Burial Tomb, which should happen when the city has a stable income from exports.
Henna is ungrowable in this mission so it can only be imported and only Kharga and Dakhla Oasis sells Henna. If you fail to send bricks to Dakhla Oasis, the trade route with them will never open so all Henna imports would then have to come through Kharga Oasis.
Once you have a stable city that is producing a lot of income, begin preparing an area that isn't near the majority of your city for your scribes. Seti wants 12 Spacious Manors (higher is possible due to other buildings existing) but don't get any housing to Manor state until you have a LOT of unemployment. As you will learn later in the mission, too many manors without enough unemployment will cause a massive labour shortage which should never happen.
When you are ready and you have the space and workers to do so, begin building the burial tomb and importing the grave goods you will need to complete the mission!
This part covers finalising the tomb and completing the mission!

Note: This map has similarities to the campaign mission Dunqul Oasis. I highly recommend playing through that mission before attempting to tackle this mission.
Summary: Our southern border is slacking due to Pharaoh's efforts to secure the North, so we have been sent to defend Egypt from Kushite attacks at Kharga Oasis.

Egypt Solo Trip Part 5 | Luxor
Part 5 of a series of videos about my solo trip to Egypt.
Luxor, Egypt's ancient capital during the New Kingdom era. So many ancient sites, so many wow moments. Nothing could describe how great these monuments are. Unfortunately, no cameras were allowed in the Valley of the Kings, you really have to be here to see these places yourself, espcially the Tomb of Tutankhamun with King Tut's mummy in his own tomb.
