Paragliding Adeje, Tenerife, Spain.

Tenerife is a beautiful Spanish island off the cost of Morocco. The people are friendly, the food is amazing, and the adventures are abundant.

Our tour guides were amazing when we did our paragliding excursion. The picked us up at our hotel on time even after getting in an accident on the way to pick us up, and still kept us laughing the whole drive to the top of the mountain. They picked us up at the beach where we landed and dropped us off at our hotel all in a timely manner.

We chose to do the 1000m flight. My instructor told me our top altitude was over 1300m, which is almost 4000 ft..

The northern part of the island is lined with rainforest, while the Southside is a desert landscape with awe inspiring volcanic beaches. The water is crystal clear. My wife and I were lucky enough to see a school of over 100 barracuda in the harbor after jet skiing over a mile offshore.

The food on the island was more then worth the 40 euro flight in itself. There was a small Spanish restaurant right across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel that blew us away. The flight was amazing, but ill be coming back for the paella and sangria. Paella is a Spanish seafood dish on top of a bed of rice. King prawns, squid, mussels, and clams all come in a huge pan straight to your table sizzling. Sangria is a red wine mixture that is filled with every fruit imaginable. The two are a combination that you shouldn't miss if your ever in any part of Spain.

Whether you come to Tenerife for the water sports, the year round beautiful weather, or the undeniably good food, It will definitely be worth the trip.

We arrived at the Enrramada beach in La Caleta and there was a lot of wind, about 35Km/h that allowed us soaring on the Corales Hideway Hotel, then on the coast and finally on the beach bar itself. First landing at Jama, just allowed a pitch forward when i was too low and swung into the ground as a result. Dented pride and a few scrapes but this really highlighted the need to make every landing a spot landing in preparation for when you have to land in/on a tiny space.
