Saba DIve Sites - No.19 Tent Reef Wall - Dutch Caribbean
Mooring Depth: 20 feet (7m)
Maximum Depth: 100 feet (30m)
When you head to the south you will experience a dramatic multilevel wall dive with rich color and looming overhangs. Heading out along the wall at 100 feet and back along an overhanging ledge at 60 feet provides a close look at the myriad of colorful encrusting sponge species. There are also several pinnacle formations located a short swim off the wall and make for a great deep dive!

Saba Dive Sites - No.20 Tent Reef - Dutch Caribbean
Mooring Depth: 40 feet (12m)
Maximum Depth: 100 feet (30m)
A mini-wall, huge boulders and a dramatic swim thru provide a unique combination of qualities at one of Saba's most popular dive sites. From the mooring, head south until you reach the drop off within the coral garden. There you will find tons of big sponges combined with a lot of soft coral. Afterwards turn easterly to a sand slope where Garden Eels and Southern Stingrays are seen. Then swim to the base of the mini-wall slowly through the boulders and the archway- single file- since you’ll likely have to share the space with some Black Jacks or Barracuda. Keep a sharp eye out for Green Turtles, Scorpionfish, Frogfish and Longsnout Seahorses in this dive that offers unlimited possibilities.

Tent Reef Wall
Check out 3 minute 30 seconds into the video. I have the camera pointing backwards which shows a shark coming up behind us that nobody is aware of. I notice a tiny shrimp-like creature beside me. As I follow it I suddenly notice the shark. Cool dive.

Saba DIve SItes - No.18 Tedran Wall - Dutch Caribbean
Mooring Depth: 70 feet (22m)
Maximum Depth: 110 feet (35m)
A series of coral outcrops at the edge of a sandy slope and a vertical drop-off provide a varied multi-level wall dive. Head either north or south along the wall and then return to the mooring over the tops of the coral outcrops at 60 to 80 feet. Look for several big, old anchors in the coral. Different blennies hide in the cracks and crevices of the wall along with Bar Jacks swimming in tandem with large Southern Stingrays in the sand. We usually spot a school of Boga around here and there is always a good chance of some pelagic passing by in the blue water!

Saba Dive Sites - No.22 Tent Reef Deep - Dutch Caribbean
Mooring Depth: 70 feet (23m)
Maximum Depth: 120 feet (38m)
This site is a deep patch reef at the end of the Tent Reef system. The small, steep-sided reef is often combined with a visit to the Tent Reef dive site. Rare black coral, schools of Yellowtail Snapper and Creole Wrasse can be found on the deeper parts of the reef while the shallower areas are home to colonies of Garden Eels, Stingrays and Yellowhead Jawfish. While multi-leveling your dive in the coral garden, keep your eyes peeled for Spotted Moray Eels, Web Burrfish, Giant Anemones and the creatures that live inside them.

This video takes you on a tour of two reefs off the Caribbean island of Saba, in the Dutch Antilles. The island has steep, volcanic slopes with a lush sponge community at most dive sites. The video begins with a roughtail stingray using a neon goby cleaning station and ends by following a small green turtle.
Tent Reef Wall Shark Encounter
Reef shark swims up behind us on Tent Reef Wall in Saba It sees us first and swims around us. I notice a tiny creature beside me. As I admire it, I notice the shark beside us. I make a futile attempt to swim off the wall to meet it, but it's a far better swimmer.

Saba October 2011--Dive One Tent Wall
In October 2011 Dive Into Recovery embarked on their first international trip. This video captures their first few dives off the island of saba. The island is one of the most beautiful in the caribbean. It is surrounded by a protected underwater park. There are no resorts, no beaches, no golf, and no flat surfaces on the island. It is paradise.
Tent Wall Drift Dive--Saba 2012
Tropical Rafael kept the Dive into Recovery crew pinned on the island of St. Maarten for a few extra days. Raf dumped buckets of rain on the region and whipped up the water ways. Our third dive of the trip was close to being a wash out however our dive guide and fearless Sea Saba rep Becca got a creative--let's use the crazy currents to our advantage. And off we went into the blue-ish green hazy waters.
