Terminal 21 is the first of its kind shopping mall in Sukhumvit Road. Built in 2011, this shopping mall consists of 8 different themes on each floor.
Terminal 21 is located in Asoke BTS station, Exit 1. Open from 10AM to 10PM.

Terminal 21 Bangkok Food Court
Terminal 21’s food court is one of biggest in the city and offers enough to keep the whole family happy. There are popular everyday Thai meals such as pad Thai and steamed chicken and rice, but also Chinese-influenced roasted duck on rice (bet yang), Indian tandoori, Japanese style vegetable sukiyaki, and chicken steak and French fries. There are also great vegetarian options from stalls that pre-cook dishes and keep them warm in large metal containers. A personal favorite is the vegetarian massaman curry, which is full of delicate flavours, not overpowered by spice like some other dishes and thickened with coconut cream which complements the fluffy chunks of potato. If you visit Pier 21 food court make sure you try the mango with sticky rice (khao nee-ow ma mueng) for dessert. Ripe golden mango laid out over sweet chunks of sticky rice that is covered with coconut cream and finished off with a sprinkle of sesame. Fresh, healthy and cheap – it’s the perfect example of what food courts are all about. Before you select your meal, customers must first exchange cash for a stored value card which is then used to pay for food. Any remaining credit can be refunded before you leave. Since it opened in 2011, Terminal 21’s food court has been popular with a wide range of customers; everyone from office workers popping in for a bite to eat, teenagers keen to photograph everything and anything in their vicinity and, quite noticeably, a lot of tourists. It makes sense that Terminal 21 is popular with tourists as all the menus are in English (as are the TVs playing Discovery Channel), there is a great range of clean, cheap and delicious Thai food with enough options to keep everyone happy.

In this First part of Terminal 21 Shopping in Bangkok we will be exploring this wonderful Mall in Bangkok.
Terminal 21 is a one floor one theme shopping mall. The concept is market streets of the world. It is decorated based on well-known streets in cities such as Rome, Paris, Tokyo, London, Istanbul. This mall has the longest escalators in Thailand, up to 36 metres.
It has everything you could possibly need, from discounted clothes to luxury brands and Western restaurants intermixed with amazing Thai food. This airport-inspired mall is broken up into different cities, and with over 600 shops and more than 50 restaurants and cafés, its sheer size can be intimidating. Visitors are greeted by one of Bangkok’s largest escalators when they first arrive, with so many cities to choose from.
Located in Watthana district, the mall is situated on the Sukhumvit and Asok intersection. It links to BTS Skytrain and MRT with a skywalk, at Asok Station and Sukhumvit Station.

CHEAPEST FOOD COURT IN BANGKOK! | Terminal 21 Food Court Asok
I love food courts in Thailand, and the food court at Terminal 21 is my favorite of all for many reasons. Not only is it easy to get to, but the food and atmosphere is amazing and best of all, the cheapest food court in town!
Offering international renown brands, Terminal 21 is one of the most popular shopping malls in Bangkok with an airport theme. The name reflects it's theme with each level representing a certain major city. At the second highest level is where the Pier 21 food court stands, which is always my first stop over!
After the long wander around, I finally made my selections and started to feast.
The Tom Yum Kung looked dangerously spicy with all the red chili flakes floating around. The taste of it was amazing with strong lemon grass and tamarin flavor which really opens up your pallets. Filled with mushroom and prawns, this dish was actually quite hardy.
The Papaya Salad was also amazing with a delicious crunch from the papaya itself and peanut pieces. Drenched in lime juice and fish sauce, this dish really had me addicted with every bite.
Next up was the Stir Fry Yellow Curry with Chicken. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of curry, this particular dish was actually very good. The curry itself is cooked together with egg, which gives it a fluffy texture. The flavor is jammed packed with curry aroma and mixed together with Chinese celery. The chicken had a great chewy texture and was quite juicy.
lastly, the Pan Fried Noodles in Soy Sauce with Chicken & Chinese Broccoli was another winner. The rice noodles actually had a very interesting stringy and chewy texture to it which made the dish even more enjoyable. The fan fry charcoal flavor really added to the deliciously tender chicken and crunchy Chinese broccoli.
Finally, I had to wash everything down with a freshly made Passion Fruit Ice Blend.
This food court is truly amazing. Not only is the food cheap, but it is also authentic and fresh. The popularity of this food court is growing so it is always jam packed, which means the ingredients always stay fresh.
Be sure to make it out to Terminal 21 when you are in Bangkok. You will not be disappointed!
Very easy to get here, as there are numerous ways. Taxi or Uber is one option, or you can take the BTS Skytrain and get off at Asok, and walk into the mall through the connection bridge. Or take the MRT and get off at Sukhumvit station.
