Although ATAC, Rome's public bus company, doesn't operate direct lines from the airport into the city centre, once in the city, their extensive network will get you around no problem.
For direct links to the city check these privately run airport shuttle and regular bus services:
The Schiaffini Shuttle Service is private company that takes you between Rome Termini station and Fiumicino airport. Tickets can be purchased from authorized boxes booth at Fiumicino airport or at Termini railway station or on the bus.
The Terravision Shuttle Service travels between Fiumicino airport and the main Roma Termini train station. The journey takes around 70 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at the Terravision-Cotral box offices of Fiumicino (3 at terminals A, B, C domestic and international arrivals), Roma Ciampino, Bergamo Orio al Serio, Pisa G. Galilei and Londoon Stansted airports, and at various hotels in Rome.
Coltral provides nightly connections between Fiumicino airport - Rome Lepanto Station - Roma Termini - Roma Tiburtina, and a day service between the airport and underground stop at Anagnina, where you can get a bus connection to Rome Ciampino airport.
The airport provides a free shuttle service between the airport terminals with departures every 15 minutes between 07.00 and 22.00 and every 20 minutes between 22.00 and 07.00. This service connects the long-stay car park with the domestic and international terminals. It stops at the arrivals area for both the domestic and international terminals.
Taxi
You can, of course, get a taxi into central Rome by using the taxi stand in front of Fiumicino airport. Use only authorised taxis (white vehicles with a taximeter) available at the arrivals areas of each terminal. A taxi ride should cost about 40 Euros.

Terravision - Le truffe ?

Milan Centrale Ticket Machine Beware of Pickpockets Buy Tickets to Genoa
In this video, I show you some scenes of Milan Centrale station. The pickpocket situation in Milan is so bad, the first thing the machine tells you is to 'Beware of Pickpockets. We arrived in Milan Centrale earlier that morning, from Milan Malpensa, after flying in from Singapore. (Singapore Airlines!) At Milan Centrale, I had to buy tickets for the next leg, from Milan Centrale to Genoa Principe. I used the Self Service machines. They accepted credit cards, but required a PIN. Thankfully I remembered my PIN. The second class ticket cost 21.5 Euros per adult.
It was quite a nightmare for us when we boarded the train to Genoa. First we had to get our luggage on board the train - pretty high steps. Then, we discovered there weren't proper areas to store our large bags. Worse, some pickpockets made an attempt on one of us, thank God she didn't manage to steal anything.
Beware, they work in groups of 2-3. One of them will try to distract you. In our case, she pretended to be a train passenger and appeared overly helpful with our luggage. The other(s) will then try to pick from your pocket, handbag or bagpack. As the train was quite crowded and busy, people were in close proximity.
We also discovered that we boarded the wrong carriage. When we took the train from Milan Malpensa to Milan Centrale, there were no assigned seats. But for this inter-city train (which went all the way to NICE), there were assigned seats and carriages. My video shows you a picture of the ticket, and more importantly how to read the ticket (CARROVA means carriage). Remember to board the correct carriage.
After all that excitement, we made it safely to Genoa Principe. Phew! Thank God.
Aeropuerto Fiumicino a Roma Cómo ir (MibauldeblogsTV)

Road trip to Tuscany via ROME - ITALY DAY 1 [VLOG #15]
Click 'Show More' for more details on our trip...
yeyy..!! finally.. i get to share our first day in Italy.
Firstly, we spent for a few hours in Rome before we collect our car to drive up to the Tuscany region. This is my second time in Rome, if you want to check out my amateurish but bearable video collage of my previous trip to Rome, check it out here:
So the flight was approx. 3 hours from Dublin. Landed in Rome Ciampino Airport. Took the bus from the airport to the Termini central station. The bus we used was Terravision ( ).
The first thing to do was drop our bags at Bags Free ( ) pretty good deal of €4 for a day.
Then hanger (hunger) strikes!!! our first ever Italian meal was in Trattoria Dell’OMO located closed to Termini central station ( ). The food was pretty good it was empty when we came it which was 12ish then started to get busy as locals flocked the place. Price wise it was around 10-15euros which is alright considering the Termini central station is a tourist spot. (Don’t worry there’s english on the menu and the people serving will try to speak in english the best they could).
Then took the Metro to Barberini which is a few mins walk to the Trevi Fountain. Once in Trevi, made our wishes and took lots of photos. The heat was intense so we had our lovely gelato in 54 Via del Lavatore ( .
Made a trip to Vatican for a bit, went back to Termini to collect our bags and went straight to Villa Borghese to collect our rental car.
Went to Lidl to buy the food necessities and snacks. Then onto an approx. 3hr drive to our AirBnB ( We got lost trying to find the house but our lovely host Rossano waited until 12am til we found the place. DO NOT TRUST GOOGLE MAPS..!! hahaha lesson learned..
Apologies if the vlog ended this way.. was so tired i forgot to end it.. but stay tune for the next vlog.. where we show you Tuscany and its beauty. We'll also visit Florence and Pisa. So don't miss it.!!
If you liked it give it a big 'thumbs up' and Subscribe to watch more.
Thanks for watching..!!
