Long weekend getaway in Terrigal | NSW, Australia
The scenic Terrigal Beach, on the NSW Central Coast, Australia is just over an hour drive from Sydney and is missed by most travellers.
We've decided to spend our 2019 Easter holidays in this beautiful area that has plenty of stunning beaches, natural bushland, and happening surf.
Getting to Terrigal is easy. The drive is only 90 minutes from Sydney. There is public transport, too. From Sydney, daily train services depart Central Station at regular intervals for Gosford, where you hop on a connecting bus service to Terrigal – the journey is about two hours.

This place is called Terrigal Beach. Its about an hour and a half north of Sydney. Awesome place to spend a day out in summer.

Terrigal is a major coastal suburb of the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia, Terrigal Beach one of the best-known beaches on the Central Coast, Terrigal is a cosmopolitan seaside town, as popular with locals as it is with visitors.The patrolled beach offers safe swimming all year round and has a small ocean rock pool . Also at the southern end of Terrigal Beach is Terrigal Haven, a protected boat harbour with boat ramp, fishing charters, scuba diving and snorkelling, picnic and barbecue facilities.

Terrigal is a beautiful place and is part of the Central Coast NSW. It comprises of Terrigal beach, Terrigal Lagoon and Skillion. Lined with beautiful Norfolk Island Pines, Terrigal beach is a popular holiday spot and it is perfect for surfing, swimming, boating, water skiing, and fishing.
Adjacent to the beach Terrigal lagoon is a sanctuary, to protect birds and animals.
Skillion is a prominent landmark with steep cliffs facing the ocean, here you can gaze upon the breath taking views.
Note: there is a dog park between Terrigal beach and Skillion.
