Severn Way to Tewkesbury
Sunday 1st September 2019
Seven-months after my previous instalment between Sandhurst and Deerhurst, I set out last month for the final chapter in my personal walk between Bristol and Tewkesbury, following the Severn Way.
There are a few sections (nearer to Bristol) that I've walked without filming and I may revisit some of those in the near future.

STORYLINE:
Rivers swollen by Britain's worst flooding in 60 years were expected to reach peak levels late on July 23rd, as rescue workers helped residents and 350-thousand people without drinking water.
Large swathes of land remained flooded as emergency workers tried to pump water from affected areas and residents embarked on salvage operations, piling sandbags against doors to keep the water out.
The heaviest flooding was in Gloucestershire, about 120 miles (200 kilometres) west of London, inundating pumping stations and cutting off drinkable water to an estimated 350-thousand people.
Authorities deployed some 900 tanker trucks in the region with emergency water rations.
Bottled water was being deployed by the army, using nearby Cheltenham racecourse as a distribution centre.

M1 LORRY FIRE 13-03-2019 WITH EXPLOSIONS
Contact licensing@newsflare.com
Wednesday 13th March 2019 apx 4.45pm
I noticed some black smoke coming from what I thought was the farmers field, I grabbed my mobile & DLSR and ran to the scene. Sirens were coming from all directions in the area.
I quickly discovered it was a lorry fire on the M1 southbound near Lofthouse interchange.
Early on in the video you can see the driver returning to his vehicle to collect some belongings.
Storm Gareth doesn`t take long to fan the flames and huge fireballs and explosions continue.
I was some 200 mtrs away and you could occasionally feel the radiant heat from the blasts.
The cars passing southbound put themselves and the fire fighters at risk.
The northbound carriageway has 2 lanes closed (red cross 2 & 3) but drivers continue to pass as the truck explodes. At one point a school bus passes (shock emoji).
I think the contents of the truck were plastic pallets as you can see flames running across the motorway from what looks like molten plastic.
Apologies for the shaky video but I was filming via DLSR with 600mm lens and no tripod.
Thankfully nobody was injured.

Severn Way: Elmore, Gloucestershire
Saturday 3rd November 2018
After a LONG hiatus, I returned to my walk along the Severn Way, moving further north towards Tewkesbury. This was starts by the canal at Saul Junction, follows the Way up towards Quedgely and then returns to the start along the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal path.
I don't often talk directly to the camera my video but I recently bought a wind muffler (link below) and I think this worked quite well... All feedback is welcome. I also find that the mic on my camera picks up A LOT of noise from the lens but I think I've managed to hide and disguise that well, here.
My next walk along the Severn Way will pass through Gloucester, with at least one more outing to follow that.
