Gianni Versace Retrospective, 2019.11.30 - 2020. 04.12 Textilmuseet
During the 1980s and 1990s, Gianni Versace (1946–1997) became one of the central figures in the world of international fashion design. His creativity knew no borders, and he audaciously mixed fashion and art, antique and modern, male and female. He connected fashion with music, photography, and graphic design, and was at the forefront of transforming fashion shows and advertising campaigns into holistic, pop-cultural artworks.
The Gianni Versace Retrospective exhibition includes over 70 selected men’s and women’s outfits from Gianni Versace’s glory days between 1989 and 1997, which have been lent by some of the world’s foremost collectors of his designs. The primary collector is Antonio Caravano from Italy. The exhibition has previously been shown at the Kronprinzenpalais (Crown Prince's Palace) in Berlin, where it was arranged by the Versace expert Karl Von Der Ahé, who is also curating the Borås exhibition in collaboration with the Textile Museum of Sweden.

Lace machine (spetsmaskin) at Borås Textile Museum, Sweden
This is a lace machine (spetsmaskin) at Borås Textile Museum in Sweden ( being demonstrated on 2 June 2018. The machine was made in 1930 by the Wilhelm Reising company in Wuppertal-Barmen in Germany. The machine has around 60 spindles (including 2 with coloured threads, which were removed at the end to create a double width). The pattern of swapping spindles is defined by a loop of punched cards.

Under parollen Tillsammans överlämnades idag, vid en liten ceremoni, nycklarna till Borås Stad av fastighetsägaren Kanico. Det är Textilmuseet, Marketplace Borås, Inkubatorn och Drivhuset som nu står på tur att flytta in i Textile Fashion Center på Simonsland.

This is a Jacquard-type machine for making ribbon (bandjacquard) at Borås Textile Museum in Sweden ( being demonstrated on 2 June 2018. The machine was made by the Friedr. Suberg company in Barmen in Germany in 1930 -- but the working principle is identical to the earliest Jacquard looms.
Own Our Own Time 2015
I oktober 2015 genomfördes ett stickperformance på Textilmuseet i samband med eventet Stickhappening. Under en timme fortsätter 83 deltagare att sticka på den monumentala stickningen med garn spunnet på Textilmuseet och färgat på Textilhögskolan.
Own our own time IV genomförs i samarbete med Regionteater Väst, Danscentrum i Borås och med stöd av studieförbundet Vuxenskolan.
Own our own time IV uppförs tillsammans med konstnären Kerstin Lindström och dansaren/koreografen Helena Lundqvist.

Den 29 augusti 2012 hölls ett Pecha Kucha event i Borås där sex presentationer hölls om respektives vision för den nya stadsdelen som växer fram i centrala Borås - Textile and Fashion Center i Simonsland. Här presentationen för Textilmuseet.
Framtidens barnmode på Textilhögskolan
Designtekniker studenter år 2 visar upp sina resultat från kursen Barnplagg med en modevisning på Textilmuseet 23 februari 2016. Med barn på catwalken kan allt hända men framförallt blir det supergulligt.
En modevisning i hästväg
Textilhögskolans utbildning Textil produktutveckling och entreprenörskap har under hösten genomfört en kurs på temat Hästsport, med Viktoria Carlerbäck som projektets frontfigur.
Studenterna har fått genomlysa ridsportens klädkoder, estetik och funktion. Är t.ex. fracken den optimala tävlingsdressen nu i modern tid? Hur vill du vara klädd utanför tävlingsbanan? Resultatet visas i den här modevisningen.

Borås textilmuseum ska flytta gamla maskiner och Sveriges Radio sjuhärad, Frukostklubben är på plats och övervakar processen. Från en dörr på andra våningen förflyttas avlagda vävmaskiner till Göta.
