Aqueduct of Padre Tembleque Hydraulic System | UNESCO World Heritage Site | English | Mexico
Today we are visiting the Aqueduct of Padre Tembleque. It is a Hydraulic Aqudect System located east of Mexico City. The aqueduct was built in 1555.
The entire aqueduct system runs for over 48 kms (30 miles). It became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2015. It is an exceptionally well-preserved example of European technically used in the America's.
There is a section where you can see the water canal (the rest of it is covered). It runs over a small stream. This aqueduct is unique because it has the highest single-level arcade ever built in an aqueduct.

2008-08-20 Yuriria and Morelia Mexico
We visited Yuriria, which has an amazing convent built around 1530 A.D., and has beautiful architecture and gardens, yet is not known by many outside of the town. Morelia has a large aqueduct running from the outskirts of town into the Centro area. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. It has an amazing outdoor pool and large outdoor courtyard. We stayed at the same hotel on a previous visit to the area.
There are many street vendors in the Centro district of Morelia, though we did not include that area in this video.

Puebla, which was founded ex nihilo in 1531, is situated about 100 km east of Mexico City, at the foot of the Popocatepetl volcano. It has preserved its great religious structures such as the 16th--17th-century cathedral and fine buildings like the old archbishop's palace, as well as a host of houses with walls covered in tiles (azulejos).

From c. 100 B.C. to A.D. 1300, the Sierra de San Francisco (in the El Vizcaino reserve, in Baja California) was home to a people who have now disappeared but who left one of the most outstanding collections of rock paintings in the world. They are remarkably well-preserved because of the dry climate and the inaccessibility of the site. Showing human figures and many animal species and illustrating the relationship between humans and their ...
