The Garden is set in 416 hectares of hills and lakes. The Garden features outdoor sculptures, free gas barbecues, a cafe and gift shop.
It has a kids playground toilets and plenty of parking.

Paper Daisies at the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan
Every year the horticulture team at the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan start working in May on the annual Western Australian Paper Daisy display. The seeds are sown en-masse, netted, fed and watered carefully over the next 3 months to ensure a bright and colourful display of these Western Australian Natives over spring.
The display is free and open to the public every day during their season from 8am to 5pm.

Paper daisies at the Australian Botanic Garden
Over a million Western Australian Paper daises will create a lush carpet of pink, yellow and white at the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan for its annual spring display.
The insta-worthy flowerbeds are situated at the base of the Connections Garden and covers a total area of more than 2,0000 square metres – that is the size of 1.6 Olympic swimming pools!
The vibrant flowerbeds are in bloom from early September through to the end October and are free to see during their season from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Absolutely love this place, The Australian Botanic Garden at Mount Annan. There are so many things to do with kids. It ticks all the boxes with fenced playground, café, a huge picnic and BBQ area and bike tracks.

Clearing weeds is a difficult job, especially on a large scale, but massive progress has been made this year with the invasive African olive at the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan
The Natural Areas and Open Spaces team at the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan continues to hack away at the many weed issues across the site, with the African Olive (Olea europaea subsp. cuspidate) being the prime offender.

I braved myself to taste how it feels to fly at 80-90m altitude. It's amazing that you get a completely different view at different altitude.
Please note that you can only fly up to 120m altitude in Australia.
Booderee Botanic Gardens - Booderee National Park - Australian Capital Territory
Booderee Botanic Gardens are the only Aboriginal owned botanic gardens in Australia. The Gardens, as part of Booderee National Park, are jointly managed between the Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community Council and the Australian Government's Director of National Parks.
The Gardens cover 80 hectares of Booderee National Park and include a unique setting of cultivated areas surrounded by natural bushland. The Gardens showcase local Aboriginal (Koori) use of plants and the coastal flora of south eastern Australia.
Visitors can learn about bush tucker and medicinal uses of plants, the long association that Koori people have had with the area and the plants of south eastern Australia. There are a range of facilities and services available to help visitors appreciate and explore the Gardens including formed paths, self guided and guided walks, interpretive displays, picnic areas and more.
