A tour to LA's Banning Residence Museum
Los Angeles, the second-largest city in the United States, blooms because of the Port of Los Angeles. Known as the “Father of the Port of Los Angeles,” it is Phineas Banning who designed and promoted the first breakwater at the Los Angeles harbor, who built the first railroad in LA, who made the City of Los Angeles the way it is today.

The Department of Recreation and Parks manages the Residence, Stagecoach, Barn, and Gardens in cooperation with Friends of Banning Museum, a private non-profit corporation. In the heart of Wilmington sits a little-known treasure, The Banning Museum. Phineas Banning—entrepreneur, the founder of the city of Wilmington, and “the Father of the Port of Los Angeles”—built the 23-room residence in 1864. Subsequent generations lived in it until 1925; in 1927 the residence, stagecoach barn, and the surrounding 20 acres of parkland were acquired by the City of Los Angeles.

Abandoned Burned Compound in Banning, California
Over a year ago adamthewoo visited this place and interviewed several homeless people living in this compound, a year later it looks badly burned. I was on my way to Arcade Expo 3.0 and noticed this same compound, so I decided to film it. Be aware, that this entire area is being sold, most likely it will be demolish and new buildings will be built. Right across the freeway bridge there are new shopping areas and it growing. The City of Banning is one of the few old cities which still remains as an old city, but it will not last to long.
