A relaxing cruise on Port Vila's blue lagoon is the perfect way to take in the flavourof the laid back lifestyle in Vanuatu. On board Captain Morgan Bragg's The Barge, we cruise the famous blue lagoon, past stylish modern private homes, native villages of the Tassiriki folk, rainforests, and even 5-star seaside resorts!
The Barge has a capacity of 65 persons, 45 of them can be seated. Captain Morgan and his First Mate Marie and their crew supply the great cruise, the music, the wine, and the great local Tusker beer! You can cruise either during the day, or at night when you can catch the magnificent and legendary Vanuatu sunset.
We thought something the Captain said was pretty unique: If you don't have a great time on my boat, I will give you landlubbers a free cruise on The Barge, until you do! Or, I will arrange for you to undergo deep psycho-analysis, so you can get back in touch with the real you! Nice! Captain Morgan Bragg is an expatriate Aussie who has lived in Vanuatu for over thirty years now, and he knows Port Vila like the back of his hand.

What a unique and fascinating experience to go for a horse ride on a beef cattle ranch through rainforest to the top of a hill to witness scenic views of the lagoon below, only to take your horse swimming in that very lagoon later on. Amazing! The horses loved it, they were in heaven.

A daytime port stop in Port Vila, Vanuatu during our South Pacific cruise onboard Royal Caribbean's Legend of the Seas. After the ship's berthing and customs clearance, we took a water taxi to the downtown area for some shopping and a coffee break in a local cafe. The video shows the refurbished undercover marketplace in action. This structure was destroyed during the major cyclone which devastated Port Vila in recent times.
