The Baths Citrusdal - E02
The Baths is one of those camping spots to consider if all you want to do is unwind. Should pulling a caravan or pitching a tent still be too much of a mission for a relaxing getaway… they have chalets and flats to suit any glampers needs. The Baths is a natural hot water resort near Citrusdal in the Western Cape.
You can choose from relaxing in the main hot water pool, Jacuzzi’s or even one of the rock pools to take advantage of the spring water. The same hot water runs through the entire camp and creates a nice steamy effect on chilly mornings. There’s also a cold pool to stop you from overheating in those long summer days.
Activities around The Baths include hiking and mountain bike trails, playgrounds with trampolines and a jungle gym for the kiddies, but there are lots of little places to discover as I spend an entire afternoon exploring the paths next to the river. There’s also a small bar and restaurant on the site, definitely give their ribs a go, as a self-declared rib connoisseur… I can say they are pretty good and a not to be missed treat.
