We visited Pluckley in Kent to find out if it's the most haunted village in England. If you love a ghost story or two then this place is a haven for stories.
Pluckley is situated just off the A20 in Kent, in between Maidstone and Ashford. It's a quaint little village which is steeped in history and is mentioned in the Domesday book.
There are many ghost stories from Pluckley which has earned itself the most haunted village in England and was featured in the Guinness Book Of Records in the 1980s.
There have been many sightings of ghostly apparitions from the Screaming Man, The Highwayman, The Schoolmaster, The Red Lady, The White Lady and much more. There are apparently more than 15 ghosts in this village.
The Screaming Woods is situated in between Pluckley and Smarden and is home to various ghosts. Screams are often heard in the darkness of night and some people have heard the screams in the day. Trevor Dawson who was visiting the area claimed to have heard an eery scream while walking his dog one morning. He managed to video the experience and claims to capture the scream on this video. It definitely sounds like a scream or it could be a wild animal like a Fox.
The Blackhorse Pub in the village has its own mischievous ghost who haunts and startles the staff and some visitors who have claimed to see things moving around and items disappearing only to reappear again a few days later.
Pluckley is a great place to visit if you are fascinated (like us) with the paranormal. There are many visitors during Halloween and they have many haunted trails and the village is popular amongst ghost hunters and paranormal investigators.

The GCUK South East Paranormal Events Team, visit 'The Black Horse' in Pluckley Village in Kent, to discover strange noises, coming from an upstairs room, various light anomalies, together with voices from beyond the grave!
There are some amusing moments during the investigation, which help to generate additional energy for the spirits!
As a cameraman, it is always difficult to know sometimes, where to point the camera and be in the right place at the right time! 'One' never knows what 'one' might see! So, I was lucky on a few occasions, to capture several light anomalies, during the investigation, though faint, that appear in several scenes; see if you can spot them!
