LOBSTERING and BREW BUS TOUR | Portland, Maine
DAY FOUR of my trip in partnership with Visit Maine I go lobstering with Lucky Catch. They teach us about lobsters, we bring some cages up, learn about the sexes, how to measure them and some guest even bought some lobsters.
►In Partnership with Visit Maine:
►Sunglass Warehouse: Offshore -
►Sunglass Warehouse: Men & Women for $15 AVERAGE PRICE per pair -
Next I head to the Porthole restaurant for one of the best Twin Lobster Dinners you can find in Portland. The lobster is amazing but those scallops!!
After that we head on a tour with Maine Brew Bus tour to three breweries, Sebago, Mast Landing and Yes brewery. By far my favorite beer was the peanut butter stout at Mast Landing.
To end the day I headed to Liquid Riot Bottling Company to try more beers, eat their famous lobster roll and try some liquors! It was an amazing day!
I hope you loved this video! Have you been to Maine? Please let me know your favorite spots.

Maine is an amazing state. It's not for everyone like everyplace else. This list is about the reasons it may not before you. Don't get me wrong it's not a bad place to live, these are just something you may want to consider before you think about moving to Portland, Maine or some other town in the state. You better like seafood, they have the best.

Where we stayed in Maine: Narrows Too Campground:
Where we adventured: Acadia National Park
We are past 25 states so far guys! Over half way on our 50 state road trip!! We loved our time in Maine. We went to a local lobster joint where they taught us how to eat lobster. If you watched, you saw how poorly we did haha. We stayed at the Narrows Too Thousand Trails RV campground which is amazing. It's right next to the ocean and offers a free shuttle to Acadia National Park. Make sure you go visit there 100% if you go to Maine! It's absolutely one of our most favorite places we've ever been in the United States on this 50 states road trip.
Also if you go there to eat lobster, maybe watch a couple of locals do it first before just following the instructions on how to eat lobster. That's our only advice there!

If you have to eat one lobster roll in Maine, then Red's Eats is the place you can't miss! It's located in Wiscasset, right on the side of Highway 1 and you'll find the lobster shack right at the corner. When we first got there, the lineup didn't look too bad until we turned the corner...it literally went all the way to the back. We were there already and we really wanted to give it a try so we lined up for it. We wait for an hour and a half until we got the counter! We ordered 2 lobster rolls and when we got them, they were HUGE...and I mean, really HUGE. They really stuffed each lobster roll with a lot of meat. Usually, the lobster rolls have roughly 1 lbs of meat but here, it's definitely more than that! Their lobster rolls use the traditional hot dog buns and they toast it so it's super crispy. The meat is super fresh and the best part is definitely the butter! This is definitely the best butter I've had in my life and pouring it all over the lobster roll made it extra tasty. So if you're passing by Wiscasset, I would definitely suggest dropping by Red's Eats...the long wait was definitely worth it!

This place was packed when we arrived around 8:30 pm on a Saturday night. We were told that there would be a 40 minute wait. About 20 minutes later, we were seated and trying to decide what to order. We had already looked at the menu online and had a pretty good idea.
Lisa loves fresh lobster, Rick never thought it was worth the money for so-so taste. The girls had never tried lobster or crab before this night.
The crab cakes were fabulous and everyone seemed to like them. Although, some more than others.
The crab salad was delicious but Lisa prefers the crab to be bigger pieces instead of shredded.
Lisa thought the lobster was very good but doesn't enjoy the work involved to get to the meat.
Rick loved the claw meat dipped in butter and the tail meat was pretty good but not as good as the claw meat.
Elizabeth enjoyed it the most but she loves all kinds of food. Kaylla thought it was good but not that great. Amber, as usual, doesn't think much of seafood. Amber was a good sport and tried everything when asked.
