Top 5 Sydney Hotspots Special
The Sydney market overall is in wind-down after its recent up-cycle, but there will still be opportunities for growth for investors who buy strategically. Many of those opportunities will arise out of government policy decisions, including moves to restrict new development in the Ryde area and plans for major infrastructure across Sydney.
Another big influence comes from State Government assistance measures for first-home buyers, who are particularly active at the moment and are keeping markets strong in the more affordable areas of Greater Sydney.
There are many signals that the Sydney property market, overall, is well past its prime. Our research shows that sales activity has been decreasing, auction clearance rates are reducing and the areas with the busiest sales activity are now on the fringe of the Sydney metropolitan area. These are all indicators that the growth cycle is waning - and this is being reflected in price decline in some markets. None of this is surprising, given four years of strong price growth across the Sydney metropolitan area. Few growth cycles last longer than that.
So the period in which it was easy to achieve capital growth in Sydney has passed into history. Investors now need to be more selective in choosing locations.
We believe the best way to find future growth is by buying property that lies in the path of progress – i.e. by following the infrastructure trail. Major spending on infrastructure has been a core ingredient driving the strong Sydney economy (from which has sprung the recent property boom) and it will be a major element in underpinning existing values and creating future growth.

Benito the pirate - fact or fiction. Does it matter?
Is there pirate’s treasure buried on the Bellarine?
On 28 March 2019, our speaker was the world famous artist, illustrator and writer, Robert Ingpen AM. Robert has written and illustrated many historical books. His talk will be “Benito the pirate – fact or fiction. Does it matter?”
In 1973 Robert was researching ancient fishing stories for his work with the United Nations in Peru. He looked into reports telling that at the time of the War of South American Independence, wealthy Lima was in danger. Solid gold jewels, golden calves and bullion were to be shipped to Spain for safety. These were loaded on the sailing vessel, the Mary Dyer. A few hours before sailing time, the crew mutinied, slaughtered guards and churchmen, and sailed off in the treasure ship, with Benito in charge. Unable to return to Spain or Peru, this treasure, is said to be buried on the Bellarine, perhaps Queenscliffe. This mystery led to treasure hunts and excavations, which left marks on the landscape.

Charles T. Krebs about his work - Energy Kinesiology, iLEAP and multi-sensual integration
Dr. Charles T. Krebs
Energy Kinesiology
Charles T. Krebs began his professional career with a PhD in Biology & Physiology from Boston University. After teaching marine biology and neuroanatomy for a number of years at St. Mary's College in Maryland, in 1983 he moved to Australia as a Marine Research Scientist at the Marine Sciences Laboratory in Queenscliff, Victoria. Shortly after his move, a near fatal scuba diving accident left him paralyzed from the waist down and opened the door to a new chapter in his life. Through his knowledge of anatomy and physiology and his ability to move Ch'i with his mind from years of martial arts training, he learned to walk again. He went on to be Principal Research Scientist, Head of Water Quality Laboratory Environmental Protection Authority of Victoria from 1985 to 1988.
During his period of recovery he sought alternative and complementary therapies to help him walk better, including massage, chiropractic, osteopathy, homeopathy, naturopathy, acupuncture, and even Filipino Faith Healing. Kinesiology, a form of direct muscle biofeedback, helped him the most. Completely fascinated by this technique, he spent the next 5 years learning everything he could about energy medicine. In 1988 he resigned from the EPA to take up this work full time. He spent time in the US studying Applied Physiology, a physiologically based form of kinesiology, and upon his return to Australia in 1989 he opened an Applied Physiology clinic, Melbourne Applied Physiology, and was its Director from 1991 until his move to the Lydian Center in 2009.
Starting in 1985, Charles began working with clinical psychologists, speech pathologists, neurologists and other health professionals to develop the Learning Enhancement Acupressure Program (LEAP), a program for the correction of most learning problems. He researches, teaches and lectures internationally on LEAP, kinesiology, anatomy and physiology, and neurology. Charles is the author of two books in English, A Revolutionary Way of Thinking: From a Near Fatal Accident to a new Science of Healing, and Nutrition for the Brain:Feeding your Brain for Optimum Performance, as well as four books in German: Lernsprunge, Hintergründe, Emotionale Kontrol der Muskeltestet and Nährstoffe für ein Leitungsfahiges Gehirn.
