F&M Ingegneria - The pedestrian bridge on the M'tkvari river in Tiblisi redefines the role of the historical centre of the city renovating a dark, isolated and deserted area where a new public park will be hosted. The bridge is intentionally very bright: it presents a technologically advanced, transparent and light structure, made of steel and glass, whose sinuous and rounded form can be seen from the city.

트빌리시의 상징, 도시를 내려다보고 있는 조지아의 어머니상은 오른손에 칼을 쥔 채 왼손에 든 와인잔을 지키고 있다. 조지아에서 와인은 반드시 지켜야 할 조지아의 자랑스러운 역사이자 삶이란 것을 말해주는 듯했다. 11세기부터 조지아의 수도가 된 트빌리시. 랜드마크인 평화의 다리는 평화를 사랑하는 조지아인들의 열망이 담겨있다. 트빌리시 어디서든 쉽게 볼 수 있는 꽃과 포도넝쿨은 여행객의 시원한 그늘막이 되어준다. 나는 친절하고 편안한 첫 인상을 준 이 도시를 좀 더 자세히 들여다 보기위해 걸음을 재촉했다. 길을 걷고 있는데, 건물 앞 작은 광장에 사람들이 모여든다. 올드타운 시계탑. 올드 트빌리시의 마스코트란다. “왜 여기서 기다리냐고요? 한 시간에 한 번씩 위쪽 발코니에서 천사가 나온다고 해요.” “트빌리시에서 아주 유명한 건물이라고 했어요.” 드디어, 많은 이들이 기다렸던 천사가 모습을 드러냈다 매 시 정각이면, 나타나 멋진 타종 소리를 들려주는 인형 천사. 숨죽여 천사의 모습을 담고 있는 사람들을 보니 긴장감 가득한 기자 회견장에 와 있는 느낌이다. 종을 다 치고는, 조금의 망설임도 없이 뒤돌아 갈 길을 떠나는 새침한 천사. 천사의 빠른 퇴장에 아쉬움이 남았지만 그래도 초행길에 천사를 만나다니 왠지 기분 좋은 하루다. 올드 트빌리시 거리는 거리의 악사도 수준급이다. 흥겨운 피아노 연주에 맞춰 지나는 이가 평화롭게 춤을 추는 모습이 무척 인상적이었다. “올드 트빌리시의 느낌과 정서를 연주하고 있어요. 음악은 모두의 삶에서 뺄 수 없는 삶의 한 부분이라 생각하며 연주하죠.” 음악은 삶의 한 부분. 올드 트빌리시 골목에선 칠순의 할아버지가 인생을 연주한다. 트빌리시의 거리에선 언제나 음악과 춤을 만날 수 있다. 조지아인들은 춤과 와인이 없는 세상은 상상할 수 없다고 한다. 칼과 방패를 들고, 마치 칼싸움을 하는 듯한 이 춤은 ‘므티우루리’라는 조지아의 대표적인 전통춤이다. 바라보는 내내 댄서들이 다치지 않을까, 가슴이 조마조마했다. 다음날, 나는 조금 특별한 곳을 찾았다. “안녕하세요, 이쪽으로 오세요.” 여기는 조지아 국립 발레단. 춤과 음악을 좋아하는 조지아 사람들의 삶이 궁금해서였다. 조지아 전역에서 선발된 최고의 무용수 50여명이 공연을 위해 한창 연습 중이었다. “국립 발레단의 멤버가 된 건 4년 되었고, 아마 12살 때부터인 것 같아요.” 격렬하고 아찔한 춤이 다시 시작된다. 온 힘을 다해 상대를 공격하고, 방어하는 춤 ‘므티우루리’ 잠깐의 시간, 무용수들은 금세 땀 범벅이다. “괜찮아요, 좋아요.” 괜찮다고는 하는데, 다들 지쳐보인다. “저는 이 춤을 사랑합니다. 지치지 않아요, 이게 우리의 삶입니다. 춤은 곧 우리나라고, 우리의 역사에서 나온 겁니다. 우리의 전통과 함께 이렇게 사는 겁니다.” 아시아와 유럽의 길목에 위치한 조지아는 페르시아, 오스만제국, 러시아 등 주변 강대국의 침략이 일상이었다. ”마지막 춤에는 방패와 칼이 등장합니다. 주로 산악지역에서 발달한 춤인데요. 이 춤에서 조지아 사람들이 수 세기 동안 어떻게 나라와 땅을 지켜왔는지 알 수 있어요. 이 춤은 춤이라기보다는 생존 경쟁이었습니다.”

Relatively newly constructed the Bridge of Peace is definitely the attraction one wouldn’t want to miss in Tbilisi. It is a pedestrian glass and steel bridge in a bow-shaped design that sits over the Mtkvari (Kura) river in Georgian capital. It was officially opened in May 2010. The bridge was brought to Georgia from Italy in 200 unassembled components. The bridge is 156 meters long and has more than 10 000 LED bulbs built-in, that are switched on daily 90 minutes before the sunset.
The pulsating lights are communicating the message in Morse code; the message says chemical elements from the Mendeleev’s periodic table that make up a human body. The idea of the Italian designer Michele De Lucchi was to broadcast the message which is “the anthem of life and piece among people and nations”.

A bow shaped pedestrian bridge, a steel and glass construction illuminated with numerous LED, over the Kura River in downtown Tbilisi.

The bridge stretches 150mters was ordered by the City Hall to create a contemporary design feature connecting Old and New Tbilisi district.

06 мая 2010 года в день святого Георгия в Тбилиси состоялось открытие моста Мира. Пешеходный висячий волнообразный мост, перекинутый через реку Кура соединяет улицы Ераклия II и парк Рике - два берега как две эпохи: архитектура прошлого, и современный город.

Строительство столь необычного моста в Тбилиси вызвало волнение местных горожан.

Тем не менее мост Мира был построен и на его открытии президент Грузии Михаил Саакашвили сказал: “Этот мост символизирует путь Грузии из прошлого в лучшее будущее. Это мост между великой историей страны и ее настоящим».

Мы специально вернулись сюда вечером, чтобы показать вам во всей красе творение итальянского архитектора Микеле де Лукки (Michele De Lucchi) - мост Мира. Его длина 156 м., ширина 5 м, в нем вставлено около 30 тысяч лампочек и порядка 240 сенсоров, объединенных в интерактивную световую систему.

Walk to The Bridge Of Peace - Tbilisi - Georgia

This was our first planned family vacation on 13th December 2018 to Georgia. Its a beautiful place to be around and an amazing weather. We traveled from Sharjah Airport to Tbilisi on Air Arabia. The weather was very cold when we reached , it was our first experience to real cold weather - it was 3 degree Celsius.

The Video footage shows the place around the Bridge of Peace - a great place to hang around and later in Part 2 video went on the Zip line to Mother of Georgia.
