MY FAVORITE ISLAND! (Culebrita)
We spend the night at Culebrita. A small, uninhabited island off the eastern coast of Culebra, Puerto Rico and is part of the Puerto Rico Archipelago. I hike up in the evening and morning to the light house, find some goats, an incredible beach with zero people, and enjoy the views.

Dedicated to the People of Puerto Rico ???????? - Monday’s Muse Season 3 Episode 12
Dedicated to the people of Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico’s status as a colony or territory limits both it’s ability to grow its own economy and its freedom to receive international disaster help in this state of humanitarian crisis. Please support Puerto Rico with your prayers and your resources. If you are interested in a recommendation, I suggest donations go to Casa Pueblo ( which is a non profit organization in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, a rural mountain municipality in the central part of the island. Most of the large relief organizations and federal aid will be distributed in the population centers of the cities, leaving the rural mountain communities to recover on their own. Casa Pueblo is helping on the ground in one such rural area. Please also remember Vieques, Culebra and other overlooked municipalities. Much of the help is in San Juan right now, while the humanitarian crisis extends across the island outside the metro area. If you can help, please do so.
What are your thoughts? Or what questions does this raise for you? Please leave your comments!

EL Movimiento
In this video shot in August, Juan Carlos Lourido and Dr. Oscar Reyes reflect on the history of their community at CrossFit Reebok Iron Heart in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Reyes discovered CrossFit online in 2007 and completed the Level 1 Certificate Course in 2009. He recalls the early days, when he began training at his home. Eventually, “I had 15 to 20 people at my house,” Reyes says. He knew then that it was time to look for a bigger space.
In December 2010, CrossFit Reebok Iron Heart opened its doors for the first time. Reyes describes how the community grew after the 2011 Reebok CrossFit Games aired in Puerto Rico. The strength of the community, he suggests, comes from the positive effect CrossFit has on the lives of its members.
“It becomes contagious,” Reyes says. “It creates an active community. A community that is full of positive sharing.”

Luis Felipe Passalacqua, Puerto Rico’s first and only blind sculptor was born in Santurce and raised in his family’s ranch in Guaynabo. He studied at Sacred Heart University, receiving a Baccalaureate in Sciences, concentration in Pre-Med.
