LARGEST IN EUROPE! Krakow Old Town Square and City Centre | Poland Travel Vlog 2018
Krakow Old Town Square is ridiculous! Poland is home to this huge square and city centre with gruesome myths surrounding...⬇ Click 'Show More' ⬇
The Old Town Square in Krakow is a UNESCO Heritage site and the largest town square in Europe - the scale of this place is insane. Before arriving in Poland we were told just how large and busy the centre is to travel to prepare us for this video and coming blog.
If you are planning a trip to Krakow you most definitely have to visit the square, explore the old town and see what it's all about! It's a great spot to sit down with a drink and watch the world go by... which pretty much sums up what we did in this vlog!

Things to do in Poznan Old Town Square, Poland Travel Guide
The following video will highlight the best things to do in Poznan Old Town Square, perfect for those of you who only have a few hours to enjoy in this beautiful Polish city.
We only had a half-a-day to visit the sights as Poznan was only a quick stop-over on our drive from Gdansk to Krakow during our Polish Road Trip.
Here is our Poznan Travel Guide: Top things to do in Poznan Old Town Square.
1) Check out the 4 fountains that are located in the corners of the Square.
2) See the beautiful row of Merchant Houses
3) Take photos of the beautiful Town Hall (and pop inside if you are there from 11am onwards)
4) See the Goats at noon (Town Hall Clock Tower)
5) Try out a local Mylk Bar (or maybe not - we were slightly disappointed)
5) Enjoy the entertainment on the square (bubbles and balloons)
Of course, there are loads of other things you can do in Poznan if you have more time.
We visited Poznan towards the end of September and had cold windy weather. So best to bring some clothes that you can layer for warmth.
Please make sure to follow our channel as we will be uploading loads of travel guides of Poland as we road-trip around this beautiful country.

CRACOW OLD TOWN POLAND Królewskie Stołeczne Miasto Kraków 2003
FROM WHEELCHAIR NOMAD DIARY...2003 PP plan includes exploration of the old walled city of Cracow on foot. Zygmunt turned up with a retired engineer, Richard Novak. Zygmunt knew a lot about the town and pushed Richard hard to translate. This square is four hectares in size and was constructed in the eleventh century. By then Cracow was known throughout Europe and had become famous for its salt, crystal and as an early university town. Streets radiate out from the square in a star pattern and each street had its own trade. There were seventeen gates in the city wall, with each gate operated by a trade. I looked at a tall brick tower with clock. This was the administration centre for the square for a few centuries, Zygmunt said. Now theres a large complex of bars and restaurants below this building. We reached a long building of medieval construction filled with small shops selling amber jewellery, sheepskins, crystal and many other products.
LARGEST WOODEN PIER IN EUROPE! Sopot Beach Day from Gdansk | Poland Travel Vlog
The Polish seaside town of Sopot is home to the largest wooden pier in Europe, famous in Poland! The train from Gdansk to Sopot... ⬇ Click 'Show More' ⬇
If you're looking for things to do in Poland don't miss Sopot! Sopot is a stunning spot by the Polish seaside, a quick train ride away from Gdansk and is well worth the visit. It's also home to the largest wooden pier in Europe, the Sopot Pier.
The Sopot beach and water isn't necessarily stunning, but the atmosphere in the little beach town is something you need to experience. Poland is a welcoming place with so much variety, even the difference from Gdansk to Sopot is night and day - as you can sort of pick up from our response in the travel vlog.
The pier isn't the largest in Europe in total, but the wooden element is the key point - there's no larger piers built our of wood specifically. Something we didn't expect to find in Poland either way.

Normandy: War-Torn Yet Full of Life
Rick Steves' Europe Travel Guide | In peaceful Normandy, we explore the half-timbered charm of Rouen, reflect on Monet's lily ponds in Giverny, peek in on local artisans, and set up an easel at Honfleur's harbor. We venture into composer Eric Satie's eccentric world and feast on the finest of Normandy cuisine. After pondering sacrifice and celebrating freedom on the D-Day beaches, we hike with pilgrims to the enchanted island abbey of Mont St-Michel.

Slodka Manufaktura Leona - Krakow
Slodka Manufaktura is located at Jozefa Street 2, one of the most popular parts in the Jewish area of Kazimierz. From the old-fashioned sign hanging outside the café, you can be forgiven for thinking that you have somehow moved back in time. Step inside the café and this feeling is bound to continue as the rustic interior celebrates images and elements from another age.
Comfortable chairs, soothing lights that hang down from the ceiling and pleasant music all combine to create an atmosphere that is easy to enjoy but harder to leave. Down inside the small basement, the décor is even more nostalgic. The exposed stone walls and gentle lighting make for a unique place for you to socialise in. The high quality food and drinks are another reason to come here. Homemade cakes including cheesecake and cherry pie are just two of the specialities here. Handmade truffles and bagels are some of the other snack options to enjoy.
