range of shopping and restaurants.
Communications in this area are excellent. Headcorn is approx 9 miles
and has a mainline station with regular trains to Charing Cross and
Cannon Street taking about 65 minutes. The new fast link train from
Ashford (approx 10 miles) to London is now in service and takes approx
35 minutes. Ashford is also home to the Eurostar International Rail
terminal with services to mainland Europe. The M20 motorway with links
to the M25 can also be accessed from Ashford.

The fantastic 'Smugglers Night' in Rottingdean. East Sussex
This film is well late - got distracted. This is where local people and supporters bring memories of Rottingdean's association with Smugglers alive! Side shows, shops open, food and all the pubs with their own faithful smuggler teams! Sorry meeting on the village green too dark to record. So missed the wonderful Rudyard Kipling poem 'Smugglers' but I know it is on youtube elsewhere.

Swanage (/ˈswɒnɨdʒ/ SWON-ij) is a coastal town and civil parish in the south east of Dorset, England. It is situated at the eastern end of the Isle of Purbeck, approximately 10 km south of Poole and 40 km (25 miles) east of Dorchester. The parish has a population of 9,601 (2011).
