William Childress is a traveling comic from the US who started doing standup in Shanghai with Kung Fu Komedy while also toiling away in the field of architecture and continues to do both while currently stationed in Myanmar. He has performed in numerous cities in mainland China as well as Hong Kong, Thailand, Cambodia, and even Myanmar He has opened for professional comedians Jimmy Shubert, Butch Bradley, Paul Ogata, Ruben Paul, and Des Bishop. He recently finished 4th overall and 3rd in fan voting at the Hong Kong International Comedy Competition. He enjoys traveling, drawing, and awkward moments with complete strangers.

But really, RAW Comedy Open Mic in Bangkok, Thailand, offers English-speaking comedians the opportunity to collaborate weekly as they polish their finest stage material in front of live audiences. The comedians range across the entire spectrum and you'll always see at least one performer you like. People from all over the world drop in to test their material too.
This place is the training ground that prepares them for larger Bangkok stages, like Khaosan Comedy Club, Comedy Club Bangkok, and Stagetime Comedy Club.
This is a quick look at the origin of Bangkok's favorite open mic stand up comedy room. One thing is sure, no matter where you are in the world, open mics are often the funnest place to be.
People attend these shows to have a good time and often end up bonding with the comedians, leading them to return for future shows.

Stand-up comedy has been growing gradually over the past decade in Bangkok, Thailand. In recent years, comedians Chris Raufeisen and Justin St-Denis have taken a leading role in this growth by providing Bangkok's comedians with a place to call home.
Veterans and newbies alike take the stage at Raw Comedy to test out their latest material, and if not for that, Bangkok's comedy scene may have struggled to develop the comics that allow it to thrive today.

I say that because you will barely see any tourists, and comes without all the congestion of other markets. If you are looking for some Bangkok nightlife it's a fantastic destination with some of the best shopping in Bangkok filled with clothes, cosmetics, accessories and great food plus much more.
The main attraction is the seafood restaurant (สถานีมีหอย) one of the best restaurants in Bangkok I have been to, where the waiters are dressed up in womens clothes, and put on a great show. If you like to experience what the Thai locals do then Huamum night market is one of the best markets in Bangkok you can visit.

Patpong is a notorious nightlife entertainment area of Bangkok. I was where i visited on my very 1st night in Thailand. In this video checkout the Thai tourism festival at Lumphini park, Dumpling and BBQ Pork noodles at my favorite noodle shop on Convent Road, Visit the newly opened Patpong Museum on Patpong 2 and have a few quiet drink around Soi Cowboy.
