Flying Fish Picked Off From Above And Below | The Hunt | BBC Earth
Flying fish can make powerful, self-propelled leaps out of water into air, where their long, wing-like fins enable gliding flight for considerable distances. It appears these Flying Fish are in a no win situation, picked off above the surface by Frigatebird's and devoured underwater by the Dorado.

CLIP DESCRIPTION:
While at the 1961 Lantern Festival, Bruce Lee (Jason Scott Lee) takes on sailors who disrespect a girl and try to ruin the dance.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The brief but eventful life of actor and martial arts trailblazer Bruce Lee is portrayed in this drama, based on a biography written by his widow Linda Lee Caldwell. Lee is introduced to the study of martial arts as a child living in Hong Kong by his father (Ric Young); the father dreamed that a demonic armored dragon would take his son from him, and wanted young Bruce to be able to protect himself. Bruce continues his training as he grows to adulthood, and after the cocky teenaged Lee (Jason Scott Lee, no relation to Bruce) seriously injures a prominent British citizen while fighting a gang of troublemakers at a dance, he's sent to San Francisco. While working as a dishwasher, Bruce begins to study philosophy, and in time develops a personal martial arts discipline, Jeet Kune-Do, which blends Kung Fu fighting techniques with lessons gained from his philosophical research. Bruce decides to open a martial arts academy on the advice of his fiancée Linda (Lauren Holly); Linda and Bruce encounter resistance as a mixed-race couple, especially from Linda's mother Vivian (Michael Learned), and Bruce earns the enmity of traditional Chinese martial arts experts for his new style. But after a strong showing in several public tournaments, Bruce's fighting skill and charisma attracts the attention of TV producer Bill Krieger (Robert Wagner). Bruce is cast as Kato, the karate-trained sidekick on the series The Green Hornet, and while the show is short-lived in America, it's a huge success in Asia, leading to a series of films based around Bruce's remarkable fighting skills. Sadly, shortly before the release of the film that would make him a major screen star in the United States, Enter The Dragon, a mysterious brain disorder sends Lee into a coma that soon kills him. In a tragedy with eerie timing, Bruce Lee's real-life son Brandon Lee died shortly before this film was released, the result of an accidental shooting while completing the picture The Crow.

sounds of eagle bird
Eagles normally build their nests, called eyries, in tall trees or on high cliffs. Many species lay two eggs, but the older, larger chick frequently kills its younger sibling once it has hatched. The dominant chick tends to be a female, as they are bigger than the male. The parents take no action to stop the killing.
Eagles are large, powerfully built birds of prey, with a heavy head and beak. Even the smallest eagles, like the booted eagle (Aquila pennata) (which is comparable in size to a common buzzard (Buteo buteo) or red-tailed hawk (B. jamaicensis)), have relatively longer and more evenly broad wings, and more direct, faster flight – despite the reduced size of aerodynamic feathers. Most eagles are larger than any other raptors apart from some vultures. The smallest species of eagle is the South Nicobar serpent eagle (Spilornis klossi), at 450 g (0.99 lb) and 40 cm (16 in). The largest species are discussed below. Like all birds of prey, eagles have very large hooked beaks for tearing flesh from their prey, strong muscular legs, and powerful talons. The beak is typically heavier than that of most other birds of prey. Eagles' eyes are extremely powerful, having up to 3.6 times human acuity for the martial eagle, which enables them to spot potential prey from a very long distance.[2] This keen eyesight is primarily attributed to their extremely large pupils which ensure minimal diffraction (scattering) of the incoming light. The female of all known species of eagles is larger than the male.

Best Attacks Ever Wild Eagle
The bald eagle is noted for having flown with the heaviest load verified to be carried by any flying bird, since one eagle flew with a 6.8 kg (15 lb) mule deer fawn.[8] However, a few eagles may target prey considerably heavier than themselves; such prey is too heavy to fly with, thus it is either eaten at the site of the kill or taken in pieces back to a perch or nest. Golden and crowned eagles have killed ungulates weighing up to 30 kg (66 lb) and a martial eagle even killed a 37 kg (82 lb) duiker, 7–8 times heavier than the preying eagle.[7][9] Authors on birds David Allen Sibley, Pete Dunne, and Clay Sutton described the behavioral difference between hunting eagles and other birds of prey thus (in this case the bald and golden eagles as compared to other North American raptors):[10]
different sounds of eagle
They have at least one singular characteristic. It has been observed that most birds of prey look back over their shoulders before striking prey (or shortly thereafter); predation is after all a two-edged sword. All hawks seem to have this habit, from the smallest kestrel to the largest Ferruginous – but not the Eagles.
Among the eagles are some of the largest birds of prey: only the condors and some of the Old World vultures are markedly larger. It is regularly debated which should be considered the largest species of eagle. They could be measured variously in total length, body mass, or wingspan. Different lifestyle needs among various eagles result in variable measurements from species to species. For example, many forest-dwelling eagles, including the very large harpy and Philippine eagles, have relatively short wingspans, a feature necessary for being able to maneuver in quick, short bursts through dense forested habitats.[7] Eagles in the genus Aquila, though found almost strictly in open country, are superlative soarers, and have relatively long wings for their size.

MAN KEEPS CROCODILE - IN HIS HOUSE!

-----------------------------------------------
We're so snappy together! Forget dogs being man's best friend, this is the bloke who has formed a lifelong friendship with a CROCODILE.
From his detached bungalow in suburban Kent, Chris Weller is better known as the British Steve Irwin after spending more than 20 years living with man-eating beasts.
He has spent more than £25,000 making his home crocodile-friendly for his seven-year-old BFF Caesar.
Ex-prison officer Chris, 66, enjoys his retirement with his favourite five-and-a-half foot companion - Chris plays snap with him, reads Caesar stories and together they watch TV and listen to their favourite radio station Classic FM.
Chris bought Caesar six years ago when he was less than a foot long and converted the downstairs of his home into a habitat for the crocodile to roam in - including building a pool into his conservatory.
Chris, of Rochester, said: He's my closest companion and most of my day revolves around feeding, cleaning and entertaining him.
Most people are terrified when they find out I live with a crocodile, but I've raised him since he was a baby and now he's completely docile.
As he's got older he's become happier to be around me and he likes nothing more than watching TV and listening to the radio.
Neighbours, and particularly children, like him and when I go to the butchers to get meat and fish for him most people know me as the man with the croc.
He's a loyal mate.
Chris moved into the loft of his home to allow the crocodile to roam free, he even installed a cat flap on his conservatory door for easy access into his water bath.
He insists that the kitchen, bathroom and hallway are neutral zones for the pair but Chris is still able to stroke him as he rests his head on his lap.
Chris had to apply for a dangerous animal licence in order to legally keep Caesar - with this he has to comply to certain hygiene, diet and security requirements.
His home has a three-lock system - keeping Caesar behind at least three doors - in order to prevent him from escaping outside. He is also not allowed to be taken outside.
And Chris revealed that his 40 years' service at HMP Rochester lends itself to the security arrangements.
Chris added: I spent four decades keeping dangerous animals behind locks and gates so it's no different here.
As he's grown up he's used to the safety systems and I never have any concerns about going to bed and him waking up next to me.
When I first got him he was very difficult to look after and care for as he would often bite me and it's as painful as it sounds.
But now he's very relaxed and placid. I don't think there's any chance of him escaping - he's not even allowed outside.
Chris had been planning to buy Caesar a female partner, but he believes that one would be too difficult to introduce to his routine.
Instead Chris keeps him company and wakes up every morning at 7am in order to free Caesar and let him roam the downstairs.
After preparing his hearty breakfast of meat or fish, Chris cleans his leathery skin and his sanctuary.
The pair then listen to Classic FM as Chris tends to his other animals including terrapin turtles, parrots, lizards and water monitors.
Chris then allows Caesar to watch TV as he's drawn to flashing lights and images on screen.
Chris added: Most of the time he's a grumpy sod and likes to be left alone, but he does enjoy certain things and it's good to make it a routine - it keeps him relaxed.
I never wanted to get a cat or a dog, when you have a home to yourself you think 'well why not' and just go for it.
I wouldn't dream of having any other pet.

Walden Audiobook by Henry David Thoreau | Audiobook with subtitles| Part 2
Walden by Henry David Thoreau is one of the best-known non-fiction books written by an American. Published in 1854, it details Thoreau’s life for two years, two months, and two days around the shores of Walden Pond. Walden is neither a novel nor a true autobiography, but a social critique of the Western World, with each chapter heralding some aspect of humanity that needed to be either renounced or praised. Along with his critique of the civilized world, Thoreau examines other issues afflicting man in society, ranging from economy and reading to solitude and higher laws. He also takes time to talk about the experience at Walden Pond itself, commenting on the animals and the way people treated him for living there, using those experiences to bring out his philosophical positions. This extended commentary on nature has often been interpreted as a strong statement to the natural religion that transcendentalists like Thoreau and Emerson were preaching. The Wisdom of Father Brown Video / Audiobook [3/3] By G. K. Chesterton
This book is a collection of twelve stories starring the priest, Father Brown and his friend Inspector Flambeau written in the first half of the twentieth century. Father Brown solves things by observation and thought, in some ways like Poirot, but in an unassuming and modest manner. The stories are each very different, but are very good reading(Review by Scilla)

The Mill on the Floss Audiobook by George Eliot | Full Audiobook | Part 1
The novel details the lives of Tom and Maggie Tulliver, a brother and sister growing up on the river Floss near the village of St. Oggs, evidently in the 1820’s, after the Napoleonic Wars but prior to the first Reform Bill (1832). The novel spans a period of 10-15 years, from Tom and Maggie’s childhood up until their deaths in a flood on the Floss. The book is fictional autobiography in part, reflecting the disgrace that George Eliot (Mary Ann Evans) herself had while in a lengthy relationship with a married man, George Henry Lewes.
Maggie Tulliver holds the central role in the book, as both her relationship with her older brother Tom, and her romantic relationships with Philip Wakem, a hunchbacked, but sensitive and intellectual, friend, and with Stephen Guest, a vivacious young socialite in St. Oggs and fiance of Maggie’s cousin Lucy Deane, constitute the most significant narrative threads.
