Burrator's War
'Burrator's War' is a film about Burrator Reservoir in the final years of World War One, when plans were afoot by the Plymouth Corporation to enlarge the Reservoir and evict tenant farmers in the catchment. It was made by young people from the Dartmoor area, mentored by MED Theatre, with the support of South West Lakes Trust, and commissioned by DAISI. The film formed part of DAISI's Devon-wide World War One commemoration project, supported by a grant from Heritage Lottery Fund.

First ride on the new section of route 27 at Clearbrook
This section has only just opened. It doesn't really shorten the journey, but it does avoid a very narrow and steep road up onto Roborough down, which had previously been the diversion route for the last 28 weeks since August.
This new route goes right past the Skylark Inn at Clearbrook which will be convenient!
Previously this was a section of old disused railway line which had a very rough and muddy surface. The new route is smooth asphalt the whole way, and a new entrance has been done at the Clearbook end; removing a dangerous steep hair-pin corner that could only really be navigated by walking a bike each way.
I hope to film this route during daylight hours tomorrow.
