Downieville (Downieville, CA) Mountain Biking
I normally keep my videos under 15 minutes, but this was such an epic day of riding I had to include as much as possible.

A BIT ABOUT ME: I consider myself to be an average rider. Not good with jumps, corners, and not very fast. As I continue to try and improve I find myself becoming more and more passionate about riding and wish I could do this every day. I watched many others start a MTB YouTube channel and thought it would be fun to start my own. All of them are really good riders and do an amazing job giving out information about trails, gear, and tips. I would like to think I could help review trails that aren’t as well known to encourage more bike traffic. There channels really motivated me to move forward and put my own little twist on trail rides and mountain biking. We will see how long I will enjoy this hobby. In the meantime, hopefully I will inspire people to get out and ride and find people to share my adventures with.
Always on a quest to find great mountain bike trails, awesome mountain bike friends, helpful mountain biking tips, and amazing MTBing Adventures.

Best Mountain Biking in Downieville, CA - Downhill Classic
This video follows the downhill segment of the Downieville Classic cross country race. It is an incredible ride along the route of one of the last remaining point-to-point bicycle races in the United States. The downhill segment follows a rugged Gold Rush era route that plunges 5,200 vertical feet into downtown Downieville. A golden pathway, selected as a tribute to the mountains, the rivers, the fresh mountain air, and to the hard men that carved these trails through the river canyons in search of gold and prosperity.

FIRST OF ITS KIND | The Downieville Classic 2017
Welcome to the full Downieville Classic. This is one of the most gnarly cross country mountain bike races in the world, covering 27 miles and 5500 feet of descent. By the end, everything hurts. More videos about how I prepared mechanically and nutritionally for this event coming soon. Thanks for watching.

Downieville Downhill - (Sunrise Trail) Downieville, CA
This is the Upper half of the Butcher Trail located around the town of Downieville,CA within Tahoe National Forest. Its part of the 14 mile downhill run and leads into 3rd or 2nd Divide Trails. Ive taken this during an awesome autumn day when riding conditions were perfect.

Downieville Downhill: Third Divide
This is my second run down the Downieville classic downhill route. I only recorded the Third Divide trail as it is the smoothest on the route and I do not have a gimbal yet. The rest of the footage would be too shaky to use.

Story Synopsis:
Hey, what's up? This is me, Boba, taking you on another NeuroAdventure. This the full 19-minute (Extended Cut) version.
Day 2 in Downieville... cabin-camping up here with PV, right next to the Downieville river. Well, we woke up on the second day, drove an hour from Downieville to Quincy, then picked up the shuttle to the top of Mt. Hough (that's Huff not Ho). Lots of high-speed flow. Kudos to the Sierra Buttes Trail Stewards for getting this one in such fine shape recently.
Great trail for intermediates who want a sampling of what the Pacific Northwest (PNW) in upper Washingon State has in store if you want to venture up there, with its high pine forest and alpine meadows to see and feel. This one is much more accessible to the Bay-area ride set, and really not too far of a drive for the SoCal contingent.
In terms of its score on the NeuroAdventure scale, this one was mostly serotonin (alpine views, PNW feel) along with a good dose of anandamide (body's endogenous THC) generated along with the endorphins just due to the few-dozen minutes of non-stop fast and flowy singletrack downhill. Any norepinephrine (adrenaline!) was strictly based on how fast you were willing to go...
Next up: a fun double-loop Flow Trail experience above Nevada City on our way back to the OC. So many jumps and berms, we lost count...
Hey, if you enjoyed this video, hit Like on the video, then Subscribe to the YouTube channel (Retirement Xtreme). Then we can keep these NeuroAdventures going for a long while...
See you at the next NeuroAdventure... In the meantime, stay active! The only way to be shredding when you're sixty is to keep shredding until you're sixty.

First Divide is the last section of trail on the classic Downieville classic mountain bike trail. Northern California has arguably the best trail in the state in a sleepy little town of Downieville.

The Luge DH. Full-pull on one of Southern California's funnest trails.
Today, we are doing a full-pull on a Southern California classic, The Luge. Located in Orange County's Trabuco Canyon, The Luge offers both spectacular views and rad descending. We are gonna concentrate on the main downhill portion. Most riders access the downhill as part of a loop that starts at Cook's Corner. The full loop is about 7.7 mile long, and you will climb somewhere around 1200 feet.
The main Luge DH is about one mile long and offers thrilling flow trail with constant exposure and gorgeous views during most of the 622 foot descent.
Doing a full-pull on the trail means riding the entire descent non-stop. In video form, it's an uncut view of that descent. If you've never done The Luge, this full-pull may help you be more prepared for when you do ride it. If you're familiar with The Luge, you may be able to pick up some lines. You may also be able to give me some pointers.
I hope you find this full-pull on The Luge helpful...or at least fun to watch.

Mountain Biking on the moon I Joshua Tree, CA I Southern California Mountain Biking
While on my way to Joshua Tree National Monument I stopped to get a ride in at the Desert View Conservation Area right out side of the west entrance of the park. This place is not the most advanced place to ride but has some amazing views on the trails in the area. Though my mountain bike did the trick I would suggest bringing and riding a fat bike in this area because of the loose sand on the trails.
If your in the area and need to rent a bike or anything else bike related check out Joshua Tree Bicycle Shop located in the town of Joshua Tree:

Nevada City to Downieville MTB Ride
Sierra Express Racing Team members and friends ride 56 miles of dirt roads and trails to get from Nevada City to Downieville. We crossed 3 canyons and included some sketchy single-track to keep things interesting.
