♫ The Exiles (Band) - Devil At My Door (Unsigned band, Original Song)
An electro-indie-rock band with a mix of guitar and dance tunes full of energy, originality and passion.
Glastonbury born - but now Bristol based. We consist of 3 brothers and 2 mates. We are successfully building a buzz around both Bristol and London - gaining a sizable support group as we go. We have played many big gigs - but believe now is the time to step up to the next level.
Although unsigned we all moved to Bristol to be closer to gigs, and to dedicate our full attention to the music. Since then we have played at the Glastonbury Festival, appeared on the BBC, NME, Loud and Quiet Magazine, and have played support slots for some great acts such as Daddy G [Massive Attack], with the Cribs / Bloc Party / Mani [all DJ Sets], Tiny Dancers, Jim Noir, Jackobinarina, Bonehead (Oasis) etc to large crowds at great venues in cities across the country.
Our efforts are now paying off as we have got ourselves gigs at Bristol Carling Academy, Water Rats, Bull & Gate, Halfmoon, Mr Wolfs, Dry Bar - well established venues in Bristol, London and Manchester.
Influences,
The Stone Roses, Stooges, Velvet Underground, Neil Young, Daft Punk, Bob Dylan, Chemical Brothers, The Strokes, The Clash, Massive Attack, Oasis, Rolling Stones, Kings Of leon, Pink Floyd, The Who, Elbow, UNKLE and many more.
Joseph McGough - Vocals

Assess - diagnose - treat: if only musculoskeletal rehabilitation was so easy
Professor Shea Palmer, 6 March 2013 - Aches, pains and strains associated with muscles, bones and joints are some of the main reasons why people see health practitioners. Musculoskeletal conditions affect all of us at some stage of our lives and we have a long history of researching and treating them. Yet they still present major challenges to patients and clinicians in terms of being able to manage them effectively.
This lecture explored some of the challenges faced by patients, clinicians and researchers in assessing, diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal disorders. Professor Palmer used examples of research to illustrate the complexities and how we might attempt to make sense of them.
This lecture was delivered as part of the Health and Applied Sciences Public Lecture Series at the University of the West of England - Glenside Campus

The workshop is suitable for beginners who cannot yet balance. So long as you can confidently support your own body weight by doing a crow, headstand, bunny hop across the room, or handstand against a wall, you’ll be fine.
Participants will be shown how to spot each other safely, and everybody will be given exercises to challenge their ability.
The workshop is often attended by Yoga & Fitness instructors who wish to fine tune their handstand knowledge and learn new drills which they can show their students.
There is a strong emphasis on fun, movement, variety, and we will spend time on Yoga inversions + basic acrobatic movements such as cartwheels, walking on hands, and handstand to forward roll.
This workshop is suitable for people who practise yoga, pole, aerial, or fitness activities regularly and who wish to dedicate an entire training session to improving their Handstand ability.
We will work on a wide range of exercises designed to progress flexibility, strength, endurance, alignment and balance. We will spend time on head-stand, elbow-stand, and crow variations, but the main focus will be handstand.
We will work in pairs to spot each other and also against the wall to develop a confident and controlled entry into the handstand.
The class is enjoyable and interactive and there is plenty of opportunity to meet new people. Many people find the journey towards handstand very addictive.
Warmup drills will be carried out in a gymnastic or fitness style and will be less like the kind of thing you do in yoga.
Ben Lowrey personally practises handstands for 2 hours per day separately from any additional gymnastics, dance, strength & flexibility training. This workshop will give you a taste of the kind of intensity and repetition that are required to make faster progress in your Handstand.
Fitness people will find this class useful to challenge themselves in ways which are not part of their normal weightlifting routines.
Yoga, Pole, Dance & Circus people will find this class useful to progress their stability and find ways to incorporate hand-balancing into their routines.
