Visit to Bungay
In the south-eastern corner of Suffolk, on the edge of the Broads, lies the small market town of Bungay. With 5000 people living there, the origins of the town are Anglo-Saxon, although Roman artefacts have been found in the area too. The town also boasts a Norman castle.
Bungay has a spooky tale associated with it too, that of Black Shuck which is a black Hell Hound that haunts the coasts of Norfolk, Essex and Suffolk, so if you're visiting keep your eyes peeled for it. Bungay have incorporated both the castle and black shuck into the town's coat of arms.

Declaration 2018 Tour Trailer
A fun, frank and fearless journey through ADHD and Mental Health
Instinctive, curious, bold and bouncy; Sarah is a mighty proud square peg, which wouldn’t be such a problem if the hole wasn’t so damn round.
Sarah grew up feeling different. Her childhood doctor thought it was sugar. Her current doctor thinks its ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder). Sarah still feels different, so what will a label do? Will it change the way you see her and the way she sees herself?
Developed in consultation with medical professionals, ADHD and mental health support groups, Declaration examines when we want, need or are forced to declare our differences, and the faces we wear to fit in.
With autobiographical storytelling, comedy, and conversations with audiences, Declaration takes you on vibrant and daring adventure.

The Delta Beltas @ The Fisher Theatre 2015
The Delta Beltas performing Ham and Eggs at the Fisher Theatre, Bungay on 1st March 2015.
Hokum blues & ragtime as performed by the street musicians and jugbands of America’s deep south in the 1920’s and 1930’s.
The Delta Beltas are based in Suffolk and perform at blues clubs, festivals, pubs and other music venues in this area and wherever the music takes us.
Like every other rookie acoustic guitarist in the late 1960’s Alan was listening to Davey Graham and the ‘Bert and John,’ album but it was hearing Stephan Grossman’s ‘Gramercy Park Sheik’ on the late night John Peel show that was to be the start of a journey into the country blues and ragtime guitar of artists like Mississippi John Hurt, Reverend Gary Davis and Big Bill Broonzy.
Tim at this time was already immersed in the new British blues scene and was playing regularly at the Marquee in London. Influenced by harmonica player Sonny Boy Williamson, he supported various bands including John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers and has continually played in various bands. When Tim moved to Suffolk it was inevitable that at some point he would end up playing in the same bands as Alan and so it was from this that the Delta Beltas was born in 2012.
While Tim and Alan were playing together as a duo, Anne was performing with the Darling Coreys, a Norwich-based, all female Old Time & Bluegrass band, playing at festivals such as Folk East and Norwich music venues such as The Arts Centre & The Waterfront (supporting The Alabama 3). When the Darling Coreys folded, Anne joined Tim and Alan and the duo became a trio, with Anne bringing double bass and vocal harmonies into the mix along with her bluegrass & early American Folk influences, such as The Carter Family.
The Delta Beltas also have a fabulous guest performer, Alex Casey on fiddle & vocals.

Bungay v Bungay
Bungay passes to Bungay and Bungay scores, one nil to Bungay! On Bank Holiday May 7th 2012 two football teams assembled at Bungay Town Football Club, Bungay Town, Suffolk to play an historic game of football. It was the first time in the history of the great game that both teams were made up entirely of people with the same surname - Bungay. But the fun didn't stop there; the referee, linesmen, mascot, physio, doctors, photographers, indeed most of the supporters were Bungays. The event captured the imagination, appearing in news publications and on screens around the globe. For one brief moment Bungay Town Football Club was the centre of attention in world football. No prizes for guessing the name on the cup!
