Nan: Slow Life Zone
Located in the remote Nan river valley, surrounded by forested mountains and bordering Laos to the east, Nan remains off the tourist trail for most, but those that do make it here get to experience a province and people steeped in history, with a rich and unique culture and some of the regions most spectacular and un-spoilt natural scenery.
Nan’s unique cultural legacy is clearly visible in the city's art and architecture, particularly in the abundance of exquisite temples dotted around the city. Perhaps the most famous of all Nan’s temples is Wat Phumin, which is celebrated for its beautiful Lanna-style murals, considered to be some of the finest examples in the country.
Another temple not to be missed is Wat Phra That Kao Noi, offering panoramic views of the city and surrounds. For the perfect photo op, we would recommend coming in the evening so you can enjoy beautiful sunsets that bathe the valley below in a beautiful golden glow.
Nan is also famed for its centuries old tradition of longboat racing, with races typically taking place in September or October when water levels are at their peak. Fun on the river can however be had all year-round with rafting and kayaking trips, ranging from short samplers to two or three day all-inclusive trips readily available. So grab a paddle and head on down the Nan River for a fun-packed experience that you won’t soon forget.
Just over 10 percent of Nan's population is hill-tribes, and special excursions to traditional villages can be easily arranged and are in our opinion, certainly worthwhile. Pa Klang Hill Tribe Village, about 69km from Nan city is a popular choice and is home to Meo, Yao and Thin hill-tribes. As well as getting to meet the villagers and gaining a unique insight into their daily lives, you can also buy local hand-made crafts, which make for perfect gifts and souvenirs.
Nan’s historic isolation, convergence of different cultures and beautiful natural setting makes it a truly unique and inspiring destination, so why not come and indulge yourself in one of Thailand’s most romantic and undiscovered provinces?

I upload at least one new Thailand video every Wednesday, and often on other days too: places to see, things to do, tours, Thai food, Thailand markets, Thai festivals & culture, street food, Thai recipes, eating Thai food, hotels, resorts, villas, restaurants, Thailand holidays, tourism, accommodation & Thailand travel, including Phuket, Ao Nang, Krabi and other Thailand destinations.
Krabi is about 2-3 hours from Phuket by land or sea, and has world class accommodation standards comparable to what you find in Phuket hotels and resorts, but in a more relaxed environment.
If you're looking into Thailand Hotels have a look at hotels and resorts in Krabi. The islands and beaches of Krabi are famous for Thailand holidays, the movie The Beach was filmed on Krabi's Koh Phi Phi Island.

Thailand Travel - Episode 7 Part 2 - Sawatdipi Mai
We leave the busting streets of Bangkok and push north to Chiang Mai where we experience one day of peace before the streets of Chiang Mai turn into a complete war zone filled with multiple types of water bearing munitions and all around hijinx that is known as Songkran! Chiang Mai is apparently the craziest place to spend the Thai New Year and we test the theory as the streets are over run with bootleg super soaker packing people menacing and soaking everything in sight.
İlk olarak Phuket'in Leonardo Di Caprio 'nun oynadığı The Beach (Kumsal) filmi ile üne kavuşan Phi Phi Adası'nın Maya Bay (Maya Koyu)'nu göreceksiniz.
Phi Phi Adası turunda görülecek yerler;
- Maya Bay (Maya Beach),
- Monkey Beach,
- Viking Cave,
James bond Adası turunda görülecek yerler;
- Panak Adası,
- Phang Nga Bay,
- Pırlanta Mağarası,
- Monkey Cave Land(Manak Adası),
- James Bond Adası,
- Khao Khien,
- Koh Panyee,
- Hong Adası,
- Rang Yai Adası,

RESHONTHEWAY Kimdir?

Chitlada Shop at Phuket Airport
Chitralada shops in Support Foundation under the patronage
of H.M Queen Sirikit have long been outlets for products made by Thai villagers and farmers.
The Foundation not only creates additional income for them, but also promotes Thai folk arts.
It always comes up with new products for Thais
and foreign shoppers to enjoy each year.
The Chitralada shop at Phuket International Airport
is among the 14 popular outlets.
The shop not only serves Thai customers,
but also foreign passengers.
The customers are well taken care of by the chair
of the outlet and shop attendants.
Thaisikar Praisa-Ngob, Chair of the Chitralada shop, Phuket International Airport:
This fabric is cotton which is weaved by villagers
from various communities.
They come with nice patterns such as
Cassia agnes bouget, Crown Flower and jasmine.
There are cotton fabrics with attractive patterns,
Thai finished textiles, basketry, and polo shirts
with the pattern graciously designed
by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
These types of products increase every year.
There are products which clearly display traditional ways
of life such as 'Ploy' -- a Thai doll in traditional outfit.
The dolls are dressed in colorful Thai silk costumes.
The Foundation under H.M Queen Sirikit encourages villagers to produce them so that they become so popular,
similar to hand bags, and other souvenirs
which continue to make good sales.
At Phuket airport we focus on small gifts and souvenirs
which tourists can take with them.
The prices are also very reasonable.
They are mostly Thai dolls, cloth bags, woven clothes
and shirts with patterns designed
by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
Lately, the Chitralada shop in the Support Foundation
under H.M Queen Sirikit has also designated 2010
as 'the Eternity Love' year in celebration of
the 60th anniversary of the royal wedding
of Their Majesties the King and Queen.
The products involved a Thai flower called 'Dok Rak' -- Crown Flower and designed in many forms.
The products available at the outlet
are delicately made and practical.
Purchasing at Chitralada shop, customers can be satisfied
not only with the quality, but also the charitable aim.
Some revenue is returned to the villagers
for more production.
Shopping from any ordinary shops, of course
we get products. But shopping at Chitralada shop,
we not only get high quality goods,
but the proceeds also go towards social projects.
Supporting the Chitralada shop in the Support Foundation under H.M Queen Sirikit's patronage means
you are promoting Thai handicrafts and contributing
to a better quality of life for so many in the rural areas.
It also means you are supporting valued Thai products
and more importantly serving the wishes of H.M Queen Sirikit for her lifelong kind support and care for the Thai people.
