CONTINUUM @ACA
An inspiring season of art, science and speculative fiction.
An ambitious programme taking place at ACA Allenheads based at the Southern tip of Northumberland and high on the fell tops under the Northumbrian dark skies. ACA is the only arts venue with an astronomical observatory in the UK and throughout this project will provide research residencies, site-specific artworks, workshops, public events and talks that will combine diverse artists, writers, scientists, and audiences, all joining forces to traverse the continuum as a bridge between art and science and explore the wonder and vastness of the universe from the factual to imaginary.
This event and the extended programme has been made possible with funding and support from Arts Council England, Northumberland County Council, The Finnish Institute, Hexham Book Festival, Forum Cinema Hexham and the Digital Cultures Research Group at Culture Lab, Newcastle University as well as other supporters and partners.

A Hexham Hike
885-25-02-18.
. The Grumpy old Gits invaded the Tyne Valley on June 3, causing alarm and despair among the natives as they rampaged through the halls of the Boatside Inn, indulged in an orgy of rape and pillage - well, mosty pillage actually - around the streets of Hexham, brought down the walls at the Roman camp of Corstopitum then ravaged the Angel at Corbridge.

Hexham Traffic 16-03-2011
Accidently turned onto the highway prematurely this morning and got stuck as usual. Have been requested to upload one the entire length, unedited, so this morning was a perfect example. I checked with the RTA, there was no reports of accidents or hold ups, must now be considered normal.

O&K and KONE Escalators at Canary Wharf
These Kone Escalators travel at an unusual 0.65 M/S , and aren't quite as tall as the O&K s as they lead to the shopping centre which the bottom floor is 2 steps below ground level. Despite this , they're only 5 seconds slower to get up than the O&K as the O&K has more steps at each end, and a couple more vertical. The Kones were installed in 1999 and I think the O&Ks were 1996. Everything here opened in late 1999.
