Cadillac Kings Live @Darlington RnB Club, The Forum Music Centre Darlington
The CKs formed in 2000, around London, from a group of experienced musicians, whose cvs included the James Hunter Band, Otis Grand's Band, Paul Lamb's Kingsnakes & Big Joe Louis' Band. Six months later they released their debut cd 'Lou Ann'. It was picked up right away by radio stations across the world and earned the band a 'finalist' status in the 2001 UK best new blues band awards.
From the very outset The Cadillac Kings became firm favourites on the blues & jump-jive scenes. With stunning musicianship & an exciting stage act, this band knows how to entertain audiences across the board, from arts centres to dance-halls, from intimate clubs to major festivals, the length & breadth of the UK, Europe & Scandinavia.
The Cadillac Kings are Britain's foremost exponents of '40s & '50s blues & jump-jive.

The Alligators Live @Darlington RnB Club The Forum Music Centre Darlington
The Alligators are an unique experience in that they only tour in January as the guys in the band all play in other bands throughout the year, they've played the Darlington RnB club's opening gig for the last few years, lead by Robert Kane(current vocalist with Dr Feelgood). Unfortunately I couldn't find a website for the band, but if you get a chance to see them it' worth. Not to be confused with other bands of the same name

10cclo Live @ The Forum Music Centre Darlington
A great great night, standing ovations, authentic sound leads to a brilliant night
The Greatest hits of 10cc and ELO. Remember these? Dreadlock Holiday, Mr Blue Sky, I’m Mandy Fly me, Livin’ Thing, Evil Woman, The Things We Do for Love,
Wild West Hero, Life is a Minestrone, Art for Art’s Sake, Turn To Stone, I’m not in Love, Roll Over Beethoven, Rubber Bullets… Just a few among the many massive hits that make up the timeless repertoire of 10CC and The Electric Light Orchestra.
Their songs are worldwide rock classics and FM radio staples, that over the passing decades have remained in the hearts of millions of fans… and in the hearts of the musicians that make up the only European tribute to these 2 incredible bands from the last 4 decades.
Based in The North of England, 10CCLO is made up of a very talented group of musicians who all share a collective love and passion for the music of 10CC and ELO. 10CCLO bring their own unique approach to the music playing full-on two-hour shows that include all of both bands greatest hits, with this show there is as one fan put it “All Killer and No Filler”!
Join us at our next show soon!
HOW DID WE GET HERE?
Way back in 2000, Our Drummer Kev Jager advertised for like minded musicians to form what was to become the only “Tribute to Progressive Rock” in Europe, being a tribute to the genre rather than one particular band. Being a huge Prog fan Roy Clinton promptly responded and within a couple of weeks, Roy brought onboard Paul Boydell who he knew from a Wishbone Ash covers band. At this time we couldn’t find a singer so Kev drummed and sang the whole show for over a year until Paul “Moose” Harris joined in 2003. Other musicians came and went and in 2004 (I think) John Lewis joined on keys.

Junco Partners:Extended Highlights Darlington RnB Club The Forum Music Centre
Junco Partners, formed in 1964, took over from the Animals at the famous Club A'Gogo and Downbeat Club in Newcastle and Sunderland's Blue Note. The band enjoyed fanatical local success almost immediately and turned pro to go to Hamburg's famous Star Club of The Beatles notoriety, but were turned back at the border as being too young to get visas. They then spent six years playing the national club and college circuit alongside The Who, Rod Stewart, Jethro Tull, John Mayall Band, Jimi Hendrix and many others. They personally backed Blues giants Howlin Wolf and Freddie King on international tours. The band made single and album releases, but split in 1971. Individual members went on to play with Robert Palmer, Elkie Brooks, Mick Ronson, Mick Abrahams, Bell & Arc and Lindisfarne.
Re-formed in 1977 for the Newcastle Festival, The Juncos captured a new audience, particularly from the Northern University & College circuit and played regularly at the Cooperage on the Newcastle Quayside. An Independent single achieved national release in 1978 and caught the attention of television producer Malcolm Gerrie - (of The Tube, it's forerunner Alright Now and also White Room fame). A complete episode of Alright Now was made with the Juncos and Eric Burdon, former lead singer with the Animals, who was especially flown in from Los Angeles to jam live in the studio. A singles deal with Roxy Music's management followed but chart success was still elusive. A cameo appearance as the Juncos on Jimmy Nail's - Spender in 1993 demonstrates the lasting interest in the band and confirms the indefatigable quality that still attracts and pleases audiences.
Now returned to their R'n'B roots, they continue to receive fantastic support from a growing and enthusiastic audience playing only at a few well selected gigs.
* Two unique singers Ronnie Barker and John Anderson front the band both have soul, taste and spontaneous good humour which defies imitation.
* Dual lead guitarists Kenny Barker and Charlie Harcourt, distinctively different players, each with bags of feeling, pull out mind blowing solos out of thin air.
* Justin provides the best Rock'n'Roll sax playing in Britain.
* Underpinning it all is the long running, driving rhythm partnership of Dave Sproat on Fender bass and John Woods on drums.

Chantel McGregor Live@The Forum Music Centre Darlington
The Blues came calling first, but rock was always waiting around the corner. Well it would be, wouldn’t it? Coming from the deep south, it was inevitable, but living in the deep south of a major Yorkshire City, there’s a gritty hard edge to life!
A female guitar prodigy, Chantel was told by a major label that she had a great voice, but girls don't play guitar like that! Wisely ignoring their comments, she enrolled at the Leeds College of Music and became the first student in the college’s history, to achieve a 100% pass mark at BTEC, with 18 distinctions. Chantel then pursued further education and left with a First Class Honours degree in Popular Music and a coveted prize, the college’s musician of the year award.
Chantel released her highly anticipated new album, Lose Control, in October 2015 on her independent boutique label Tis Rock Music, this being the follow up to her critically acclaimed 2011 debut album, Like No Other.
After years of touring and festival appearances, Chantel returned with a vengeance with ten new songs that not only salutes contemporary rock, but shows her gradual transition from conventional Blues to a harder, bigger and bolder rock sound with progressive influences.

Chantel McGregor hit Darlington with a whirlwind on Friday to perform a sold out show in a hot and steamy The Forum Music Centre Chantel raised the temperature of the room with an awesome display of powerhouse guitar playing and make no mistake this lady packs a lot of talent into her diminutive frame, playing self penned songs and covers, the highlight of the covers had to be Prince's Purple Rain which received tumultuous applause from the packed house, an outstanding gig (the only downside was once again I had to leave early to catch my bus home, please Mr Arriva make the last bus at 11:30 and not 11:15). Kazoo - Situation (Forum Music Centre, Darlington) 23.2.19
Kazoo, the ultimate Yazoo tribute band, performing 'Situation' at the Forum Music Centre, Darlington. Situation is a 1982 single by British synth-pop band Yazoo. The song was originally released in the UK as the B-side to Yazoo's debut single, Only You. In 1990, and again in 1999, the song was remixed by various noted DJs, including Peter Rauhofer and Richard Humpty Vission. The 1999 remixes were released to dance clubs. In October of that same year, this renewed interest in the song sent Situation to number 1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart for a second time.

The Blue Bishops Live:Darlington RnB Club
The Blue Bishops work at the rocky end of the R+B and Blues spectrum. Yet, at the same time, they are acknowledged for the sensitivity and dynamics of performances that can go from a whisper to a roar in just a few moments.
A career spanning over 12 years has seen them perform in every kind of venue and situation, anywhere from Holland and Hungary to Belgium and the Bahamas.
Their last studio CD, ‘Deep’, just like the band itself, has made an impression across the genre. On its release Blues in Britain awarded it a rare 9/10, Blues Matters nominated it among the top ten albums of the year and it’s had airplay in several different continents on stations varying from the Classic Rock tradition to out and out Blues programmes.
This ‘straddling’ of different genres is in part due to the different influences within the current and past line-ups and the effect this has had on the band’s original material.
Past guests and members include Martin Turner of Wishbone Ash, Martin Barre of Jethro Tull, Johnathan Noyce of Tull and Carmelo Luggieri, Kiki Dee’s guitarist and co-writer and virtuoso blues guitarist Ben Smith.
