LONDON WALK | London Bridge to City Hall incl. HMS Belfast | England
A first-person perspective London walk tour from London Bridge to City Hall, including HMS Belfast.
Experience all of the sights and sounds as Watched Walker (yes, I’m talking about myself in the third person!) takes us on a walking tour through the streets of London, featuring London Bridge to City Hall. The route begins in front of the London Bridge underpass on Montague Close, leading onto Tooley Street, then along The Queen’s Walk, finishing by City Hall.
Sights seen along the tour include The London Bridge Experience priority entrance, River Thames, City of London views, London Bridge, London Bridge City Pier, Hay’s Galleria including 'The Navigators' sculpture by David Kemp, Côte Brasserie, The Horniman at Hay’s, HMS Belfast, Tom’s Kitchen, The Scoop, ‘Black Bean’ sculpture, City Hall, and Tower Bridge.
And in each video I've hidden a blinking eye, can you spot it? (It could appear more than once). In addition to the blinking eye, I've also added the Watched Walker logo to various scenes–it could be on buildings, vehicles or any other objects, so keep an eye out for it too!
Footage recorded April 2017.

▶Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom. The country is known for its Norman castles, glacial valleys and mountains, Celtic and Christian monuments, and coastal links golf courses. Capital city Belfast is home to the political murals of the 20th-century ‘Troubles’ conflict, and the Titanic Quarter, showcasing the redeveloped dockyards where the famous ship was built and a contemporary museum, Titanic Belfast.
▶Belfast
Belfast is Northern Ireland’s capital. It was the birthplace of the RMS Titanic, which famously struck an iceberg and sunk in 1912. This legacy is recalled in the renovated dockyards' Titanic Quarter, which includes the Titanic Belfast, an aluminium-clad museum reminiscent of a ship’s hull, as well as shipbuilder Harland & Wolff’s Drawing Offices and the Titanic Slipways, which now host open-air concerts.

Belfast Chamber of Trade and Commerce launch the Belfast Manifesto #belfastfirst
In this video, Belfast Chamber of Trade and Commerce launch the Belfast Manifesto which has given way to the trending hashtag, #belfastfirst.
Putting ‘Belfast First’ was front and centre of Belfast Chamber of Trade and Commerce’s Manifesto being launched in Stormont recently (06.09.2016).
The century-old organisation which represents over 400 businesses in Belfast, used the first page of their ten-year blue print to outline their commitment to “lobbying for and supporting all businesses within the entire city of Belfast.”
The manifesto is built round five core policies in order to “build the strongest possible framework for investment and business growth”.
Make Belfast a self-governing city, with its own fully empowered and fully accountable City Council.
Improve access and infrastructure, with the need for a world-class transport system to help achieve the growth that t is planned in the future years.
Grow the city’s position as a world-class tech city with improving download speeds, supporting education and creating a welcoming environment for foreign skilled workers.
Introduce fairer rates and taxes to support existing and attract new business and residential accommodation in the city centre.
Reinvent the city centre in order to attract more retail, commerce and business, city living, hospitality, public events and culture & sport into Belfast.
The document issues a clear call to all political parties to make these priorities for growth a reality for the whole of Northern Ireland and to Put Belfast First.
Speaking at the event held in Stormont’s Long Gallery, Gordon McElroy, President of Belfast Chamber of Trade and Commerce said: “I am proud to stand here today alongside my Executive Council members to launch our manifesto today.
“We believe that this document sets a very clear set of objectives to ensure that our government puts Belfast at the centre and heart of all policies for Northern Ireland.
“As the home of our legislature, gateway to the province and our largest population centre, only Belfast can be Northern Ireland’s world class city with all of the benefits that brings for the region as a whole.
“Belfast city is the pulse, the beating heart of Northern Ireland. When Belfast is healthy then so too is the rest of the country.
“The Belfast Metropolitan Area has a population of 580,000 out of Northern Ireland’s total population of 1.8M. This centre of population is the gateway for business and economic activity for the whole region.
He continued: “The Brexit vote creates new challenges and opportunities for Belfast as the capital of the region. Putting Belfast First, means getting the best for Belfast, the only UK capital city neighbouring the European Union.”
Gordon concluded: “Our policy and aim is to make Northern Ireland an excellent place for business by ensuring that Belfast thrives. The success of Belfast is a pre-requisite for a dynamic province and these policies are designed to ensure the secure long-term growth of our city.”
The Lord Mayor of Belfast, Alderman Brian Kingston, said: “I commend the Belfast Chamber for their foresight in bringing forward this strategic vision for the development of our city centre over the coming decade.
“It is an ambitious manifesto, and one which echoes many of the priorities which Belfast City Council has laid down for itself in the same period, not least through the City Centre Regeneration and Investment Strategy.
The Lord mayor concluded, “The devolution of planning powers undoubtedly has greatly assisted the Council to help drive forward the ambitions of the city’s commercial sector, by responding to its needs more efficiently and positively, thus helping us all rise to the challenges of shaping the continued development of our city, making it a vibrant, modern and progressive urban hub, and a place which is attractive to both existing and future investors.”
Belfast Chamber of Trade and Commerce is made up of businessmen and women from a full range of commercial enterprises from retailers to hoteliers, solicitors to estate agents, property developers to media, tech companies to transport providers. '£700k a page nearly!' Sammy Wilson DUP MP's amazing Brexit stand-up comedy show
'We didn't spend 30 years stopping IRA to allow PM and EU to give united Ireland by back door' says Labour MP Kate Hoey
Kate Hoey speaks at a Leave Means Leave 2
By Gareth Cross December 15 2018
Northern Ireland born Labour MP Kate Hoey has said that Prime Minister Theresa May and a few jumped-up EU bureaucrats must not be allowed to facilitate a united Ireland by the back door.
Mrs Hoey was speaking at a Leave Means Leave rally in London on Friday night.
Among the other speakers were the DUP's Brexit spokesperson Sammy Wilson, former UKIP leader Nigel Farage and Conservative MP Jacob Rees-Mogg.
Mrs Hoey was born in Mallusk, Co Antrim and studied at the Belfast Royal Academy and University of Ulster before moving to England.
She has served as the Labour MP for Vauxhall since 1989. Mrs Hoey has campaigned strongly for Brexit, despite her constituency voting overwhelmingly to Remain in the EU.
The Labour MP was heavily criticised in February when she said that the Good Friday Agreement was unsustainable.
Speaking at the Leave Means Leave rally Mrs Hoey said she was very proud to be pro-union.
We didn't spend 30 years in Northern Ireland stopping IRA terrorists killing soldiers, police, and civilians, in order to get a United Ireland to allow a few jumped-up EU bureaucrats and a complicit prime minister to try and do the same thing by the back door, she said.
Even more ridiculous is that it would not even be in the economic interests of Northern Ireland who depend so much of their trade, to and from Britain. Why is a British Prime Minister dancing to the tune of an Irish Taoiseach? There's no need for a hard border and there's no need for a backstop.
Northern Ireland comedian Patrick Kielty, an outspoken critic of Brexit, reacted angrily to Mrs Hoey's comments.
She’s right. We didn’t. We’ve spent 20 years building peace in Northern Ireland. Then seen a United Ireland become more possible thanks to a few jumped up Brexiteers who say they’re actually Unionists, he wrote on Twitter.
You couldn’t make it up (so they do instead).
Speaking at the rally East Antrim MP Sammy Wilson said that the DUP did not want assurances on Prime Minister Theresa May's Brexit withdrawal deal.
Mr Wilson said that that they did not want Mrs May's deal full stop.
The DUP is unhappy that the deal will see Northern Ireland aligned with EU rules and remain part of the single market with checks on some goods coming in from the UK to Northern Ireland, if the Brexit backstop is implemented.
“It was thought we ten DUP MPs could make or break this deal. We have become an irrelevancy. Because there are that many MPs against it we might as well sit at home, Mr Wilson said.
Former UKIP boss Nigel Farage told the rally that he felt a second referendum was now inevitable and urged people to vote Leave in even greater numbers so there could be no doubting the will of the UK to leave the EU.
