THE GAMBIA, AFRICA'S SMILING COAST | TRAVEL VLOG
Africa. The continent that never ceases to amaze me. My travels had taken me to southern Africa in the past but I was keen to explore west Africa. When cheap return flights for £170 per person became available to The Gambia, I couldn't have been more excited! It was the perfect opportunity to get my first taste of Africa's west coast.
The Gambia is the smallest country on the African continent and is bordered on all side's by the country of Senegal, except for the west side which meets the Atlantic Ocean.
Frequently dubbed the Smiling Coast of West Africa, I was keen to see for myself what The Gambia was like and what this small country had to offer.
In this vlog, we touch down at Banjul international airport and begin our journey south.
I hope you enjoy my first vlog in my Gambia series! I'm trying something a little different for this vlog series in making it a little more like a documentary, giving you information about the Gambia as well as my direct experience.
Let me know how you find it! If you enjoy it, please don't forget to subscribe for more!

Travelling around Gambia
The smiling coast, Gambia, is the smallest country in Africa. The country has much more than sun and sand to offer. A trip to Gambia is a real adventure and helps you exploring new cultures.
We tried our new drone on a very first day trip of 2017. We went to Eastbourne in the south of England.

Is The Gambia SAFE? (I didn't expect this) | Africa Travel Vlog
It's our last day in The Gambia. So far our time in The Gambia has been nothing but pleasant and we have felt unusually safe in the small African country. I could certainly see why The Gambia is often referred to as The Smiling Coast of Africa. When I landed in The Gambia I didn't have many expectations. However, the people of The Gambia were leaving a strong impression of me.
In this vlog, we journey to Sanyang beach, on the west coast of The Gambia where we run into a heart-stopping encounter...

First Impressions | Gambia 2019
My first time in Africa was 2 weeks in the smiling coast of Africa - The Gambia. Miles away from Europe, both in distance and culture. I went on this adventure with a friend. I stayed in her house, with her family, and experienced first hand their culture and traditions.

I have made it safely to Africa's smallest country on the mainland! It's called THE GAMBIA -- have you ever heard of it before?
This nation is completely surrounded by Senegal and the Atlantic Ocean on all sides, and it's appropriately nicknamed The Smiling Coast of Africa. Seriously, people smile at you from every angle here!
We've spent the past 2.5 days here and it's been a very interesting experience to say the least. I love the people and the nature -- they are both world class. But something doesn't feel right to me about the society, which I explain in this video.

I went for a visit in February 2016 while on holiday in The Gambia to see what it was like, as many people rave about Ngala Lodge. It is mostly owned by the tour operator 'Gambia Experience' I am told. Mamodou Kanteh the security officer was nice enough to show us around. My Facebook Gambia group is here
