DAY TRIP: FOREST MILLS TO WELLINGTON, ONTARIO
This gopro footage gives the flavour of Eastern Ontario around Greater Napanee and Prince Edward County. James drives and watching carefully one sees him run a stop sign which he missed. Still, not bad, for someone adapting to right hand driving in
a foreign country.
Picton is an unincorporated community located in Prince Edward County in southern Central Ontario, Canada. It is the County's largest community and former seat. Picton is located at the south-western end of Picton Bay, a branch of the Bay of Quinte, which is along the northern shoreline of Lake Ontario.[1] The town is named for General Sir Thomas Picton, second in command to Wellington at the Battle of Waterloo.

Ottawa, Changing of the Guard - Canada HD Travel Channel
The Changing the Guard ceremony on Parliament Hill is a colorful spectacle with music and one of the tourist attractions of Ottawa, Canada. From late June to late August the parade takes place every day at 10:00 am in front of the parliament buildings. The Ceremonial Guard consists of two regiments, the Governor General's Foot Guards and the Canadian Grenadier Guards. The guards are mostly students, primary reservists in the Canadian Forces. The Changing of the Guard ceremony is the only replica of the ceremony at Buckingham Palace in North America.
As a non-Brit one is skeptically towards the spectacle. Only, when one is dealing with Canadian history, you realize that the British have won major battles against a numerically superior opponent and you can recognize the meaning of these parades. Reason for the military superiority was their discipline and exact implementation of what has been learned in exercises.

'Activity-based workplace': Welcome to the government office of the future
Sonia Powell is a director general with Public Services and Procurement Canada with big responsibilities, like helping remake the whole federal workplace.
She doesn't have an office or a permanent desk, but works with a tablet and a cellphone tucked into a little Guess knapsack, the kind a kid might use for pencils, except she supervises 245 people. One day she works at home, one day she visits one of four main department sites in the Ottawa area.
What does 'modern' mean to public servants? she asks, more or less answering her own question. So, dear mandarin, the future has arrived.
We're deep inside Place du Portage, Phase III, Tower A, the kind of government 'complex' that, if there is a God, will never, ever be built again in the capital, a concrete coal mine into which thousands of workers disappear daily and visitors play private versions of Lost in Space.
Powell, 49, a public servant since 1993, is conducting a tour of an activity-based workplace, the kind of office design the federal government is piloting at 19 sites across Canada, including 11 in Ottawa. It has several virtues: It better suits a paperless, wired world, creates great common spaces, is cheaper to build and encourages people to work at home.
Suez Crisis Part 1 of 2
In 1956, an international crisis over control of the Suez Canal put Britain and France into direct conflict with President Nasser of Egypt, a proud Arab nationalist determined to stand up to foreign powers meddling in Egyptian affairs.
To understand the deep roots of the crisis we go right back to the creation of the canal in 1869, and the long history of British intervention in Egypt - all with the usual Epic History TV maps as well as loads of brilliant and rarely-seen archive film from the period.
