I stongly recommend watching the better quality version since published by the British Film Institute from a much better and more recent scan of this old film (original, so no music or titles) and published on the BFI Player to watch here:
However better is relative as the original footage was very faded and underexposed 8mm cine film! It was taken from the rear of a train between Gateshead and Hexham, on 8 March 1985, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Blaydon to Hexham section of line. This time lapse film shows the entire journey in 7 minutes. It then concludes with some normal speed shots of people on the platform at Hexham, including British Rail staff. This rather poor quality film is justified by it's historic interest. The film was actually a constructive way at the time to use up some out-of-date film.

We had to take extra care in this location the guardian reported this as the worst hotel in Britain, as well as the local gazette calling it a death trap. I advise no one goes to explore this place as it is in really bad shape and i'm sure is in plans to be demolised.

Few double-deckers go down this road and the crunching noises about 30 seconds in were made by the bus snapping off twigs and small branches.
The traffic was very light. At busy times Cotham Brow can be a real nightmare.

During steam days Gateshead was one of the main engine sheds on the east coast main line.
Unfortunately over time these became lost and forgotten. That is until now.

Ade Lane on vocals, and I'm sure someone will fill me on on the rest of the band in due course. I know this was recorded at Spadger Studios with John Eeeles, but not sure when.

Lumley Castle Hotel || Overnight in a haunted hotel || VLOG
Yes I really did email the hotel requesting a haunted room. We stayed in Lumley Castle Hotel, a 14th century castle near the city of Durham (Chester le Street). The hotel is said to be one of the most haunted places in the UK. The legend states that a woman named Lily Lumley was thrown into a well within the castle grounds. Her ghost is said to float up from the well and haunt the residents. There have been several reports of apparitions, orbs and other ghost sightings by previous visitors (just check out Trip Advisor)!
We put this legend the test and go ghost hunting at midnight using the magic of infrared night vision on my camera.
Aside from the spooky, Halloween themed vibe of this video, the hotel is actually beautiful and the surrounding areas are gorgeous! I can’t definitely see why people choose this as their wedding venue. The restaurant we dined in was Black Knight Restaurant within the hotel itself. The food is amazing and I highly recommend you book yourself in if you are ever close to Durham!
