Watch South East England change! | Transport Fever - England & Wales 7K | #16
Wow! From nothing to... well, something! In this episode I construct various lines of the London, Chatham and Dover Railway company. Watch the construction unfold before your very eyes, learn about the subscriber milestone plan and proposition, offer ideas for viewer inspired episodes for the next series on the map, learn some history and trivia about the LCDR and, of course, take a train ride from London Bridge to Greatstone! Damn, that's a lot of fun crammed in to half an hour. Now breathe.
Join me as we venture through this specially made custom map I put together - England and Wales 7k! The overriding goal of this map and series is to recreate the railways of England and Wales past and present. In addition, we will hand-place industry and have it utilise our growing rail network. Additional detailing work will be completed along our railway routes and industrial zones.
Schedule: 2-3 episodes per week, occasional live streams.

Freight and Loco-hauled in Peckham 3/11/2017
While on a visit to the Bold Tendencies car park gallery in Peckham, I managed to pick up shots of a few workings passing Peckham Rye station. It was definately a thing of me being lucky with the timings, as all of these passed within 20 minutes of each other! I must say a great thanks to the Bold Tendencies gallery for their ongoing work, and I can recommend it as worth visiting for anyone who is interested in urban-style photography (or who likes the view of the railway!).
Shots included:
1. Taking me by surprise (hence the abrupt start and end of this shot), Belmond livery 67024 and 67021 pass with the British Pullman working London Victoria - Gillingham
2. 66707 passes working Grain Thamesport Gbrf - Llanwern Exchange Sidings, meeting 70817 working Eastleigh East Yard - Hoo Junction Up Yard
3. A few minutes later, 70808 works a delayed Hoo Junction Up Yard - Whitemoor Yard LDC Gbrf
4. Finally, DR97502 and DR97802 Robel Mobile Maintenance Train passes working West Ealing Plasser Sidings - Ashford Crane Depot
Hope you enjoy!
#StreetPrize Winners - BD6 3XA in Bradford on 05/01/2019 - People's Postcode Lottery
2019 is already off to a winning start for five lucky neighbours in Bradford. The five have been celebrating after their postcode, BD6 3XA, was announced as Saturday's Street Prize winner. Read more about the win at
Thanks to the win, four of the Bittern Court residents scooped £30,000 each, while the fifth winner doubled their cash prize to £60,000 due to playing with two tickets.
Joanne, an Accounts Manager at a construction company and mother, was taken aback when she saw the figure written on her cheque . She said: I'm completely overwhelmed. I've never won anything before so to win something on this scale is simply unbelievable.
I've not been on holiday for a long while so I'm going to use the money to go to Amsterdam, Budapest and to visit the Christmas markets in Prague at the end of the year – they're places that I've always wanted to visit but have never really been able to go to before. I think I'll also treat my partner Tony, our border collie and our springer spaniel to a trip down to Cornwall as well. It's going to be so nice to be able to book everything and not have to worry about paying it up.
Not playing yet? It takes just two minutes to sign up for your subscription. Millions of pounds in prizes are won every month! Plus, you'll be supporting a range of amazing charities, with 32% of the ticket price going to good causes. Sign up now and see what you can win at
#StreetPrize Winners - BN11 5LJ in Worthing on 30/12/2018 - People's Postcode Lottery
Five neighbours in Worthing will be ringing in the New Year with a share of £180,000, after their postcode, BN11 5LJ, was revealed to be the latest winner of our Street Prize. Find out more about the win at
People's Postcode Lottery Presenter Jeff Brazier went knocking on doors in Elm Grove to hand out some amazing cheques. Four residents scooped £30,000 each. The fifth landed a whopping £60,000, thanks to playing with two tickets.
Jeff delivered golden envelopes to lucky winners including Carmela. Carer Carmela doubled her win because she played two tickets, meaning she landed the huge sum of £60,000.
Carmela said, I was expecting to win £1,000 and I would have been so happy with that! This is the best Christmas ever. My daughter Domenica is at university, studying at Brighton. I want to use the money to help her out while she's studying. This couldn't have come at a better time, as her car keeps breaking down, and with this money we can afford to replace it.
Rianna, who's only been playing for six months, won £30,000. She said, I'm shaking, I can't believe it. I'm the unluckiest person in my house and I've never won anything before this. I've never had this kind of money, it means so much to me. I'd like to use some of it to book a family trip to Disneyland Paris with my partner and my son Leon for his birthday in October.
I started playing because it's easy to set up and you don't need to think about entering yourself to play every month. I love hearing about the charities that People's Postcode Lottery support through their updates - it's nice to know that we're making a difference
Neighbour Neil collected a thrilling £30,000 cheque. He said, I am over the moon, this is so wonderful and so unexpected. His wife, Ella, added, I feel a lovely holiday coming on! We would love to do a cruise, we've never done one before. We can treat our daughters, Tiffany and Jodie, too.
I got everything I could ever want this Christmas, with my daughter Jodie home from the USA where she works as an au pair, and this is just the icing on the cake.
Street Prize Presenter Jeff Brazier said, It has been wonderful to be in Worthing today delivering such fantastic news - and big cheques - to all our winners. Everyone was so friendly and it's an amazing feeling to be continuing to spread festive cheer in our red jackets. Delivering cheques is always a joy at any time of year but it's especially nice these winners will go into the New Year with a big boost to their bank accounts.
I'm absolutely over the moon for everyone who picked up a prize and I hope they enjoy treating themselves. And with all the money that’s been raised for local charities, everyone's a winner!

Max Carrados is a fictional blind detective in a series of mystery stories and books by Ernest Bramah, beginning in 1914. The Max Carrados stories appeared alongside Sherlock Holmes in the Strand Magazine, in which they often had top billing, and frequently outsold his eminent contemporary at the time, even if they failed to achieve the longevity of Holmes.
George Orwell wrote that, together with those of Conan Doyle and R. Austin Freeman, Max Carrados and The Eyes of Max Carrados are the only detective stories since Poe that are worth re-reading.
