Max Biaggi Supermoto - Unseen Footage Training Video
The Supermoto practice day came about when I received a phone call from my old friend Max, he'd just got settled into his 2nd home in Los Angeles, got over a bit of jet-lag and got in-touch with me as he wanted to go and play on his Supermoto machine. I'd not hung out with Max for quite a few years as our paths hadn't crossed recently but we used to hang out quite a bit when we raced in 250cc GP's.
I've always had loads of respect for Max's riding abilities and found him to be a really great guy but the public perception and media interpretation has at times been quite a bit different so I thought it
would be a great idea to take along my video camera and get a bit of footage for everyone to see the real Max Biaggi away from the pressures of the race track.
The venue was Grange and is a great Supermoto and Karting track, with 14 corners in just 0.8 of a mile keeps you very busy, lap after lap. It was my first time playing around on a Supermoto machine and it was a totally awesome experience and I loved every bit of it, but I did find the high and dry desert temperatures very exhausting. Max however ran it to the stop, session after session while hitting the same point on the track lap after lap and hardly breaking a sweat, quite incredible.
Hope you enjoy the video!

How to prepare and point old stonework
Builder and TV Presenter Craig Phillips shows you how to clean, prepare and point old block stone work.
Remove any vegetation that may be growing between the stones, use a cold chisel to chisel out any old mortar from around the blocks.
Brush out all the dust from between the blocks and using a sprayer lightly wet the surface ready for pointing. Mix up your cement and mortar mix adding your preferred colour.
Using a set of pointing trowels, push the mortar into the crevices around the stone blocks and leave to dry for approximately 15 minutes before gently brushing over the mortar with wet paintbrush to soften the edges.
After approximately one hour, use a soft brush to gently brush down the wall.

F1 2013 Singapore Grand Prix 2013 Mark Webber didn u0027t expect to challenge Sebastian Vettel
Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel claims 41st pole position of his Formula One career
Beneath the floodlights illuminating Singapore's spectacular street circuit, Red Bull's young German set a time he considered to be unbeatable, returned to his garage, got out of his car and then watched his rivals, one by one, try and fail to beat him.
Never mind the mean streets of Singapore this was easy street. In fact, his gamble very nearly backfired.
On a track which was getting quicker as more and more rubber was laid down, Mercedes' Nico Rosberg produced a blistering lap to finish within a tenth of Vettel.
Rosberg's lap was also three-tenths quicker than team-mate Lewis Hamilton who could only qualify fifth and looked a little out of sorts in an unfamiliar white helmet. Clearly the car was quicker than what I was able to get out of it tonight, he said.
Ultimately, though, it was the triple world champion who was left doing his pointy finger thing, celebrating the fact that he had just taken the 41st pole of his career and saved his tyres in the process.
That allowed Vettel to sweep back into the lead, and from there he put the pedal to the metal and blazed away into a four-second lead after just two laps.
Behind the reigning three-times champion Alonso produced another of his storming starts, as he knows he has to do these days given his car's shortcomings in qualifying.
From seventh on the grid, Alonso powered past Lotus' Romain Grosjean, Mark Webber in his Red Bull and Hamilton.
Hamilton's woes off the line saw him also fall behind Felipe Massa in his Ferrari, and although he managed to gain the place back, he went beyond the track limits and was ordered to cede position.
From that point on, even through the first round of the pit stops, the race became a procession featuring precious little action.
That was until lap 25 when Daniel Ricciardo made an astonishing error as he ploughed the nose of his Toro Rosso into the barrier at turn 18.
It sparked the ninth safety car period in six grands prix around this track, and for a short while it at least suggested Vettel's cruise to the line was in danger.
A number of drivers pitted for a second time, including the likes of Alonso, Grosjean, Massa, McLaren's Jenson Button, Raikkonen and Sergio Perez in his McLaren.
That left a top four of Vettel, Rosberg, Webber and Hamilton, who all opted not to pit, throwing up different strategies for the leaders over the second half of the race.
But when the safety car exited after five laps - on lap 30 - Vettel simply unleashed his dominance again and blasted away into the night.
It meant that come the end of lap 44, when his team ordered him to pit again, he had a 30-second gap over Alonso.
The cushion was enough for Vettel to pit again and emerge ahead of Alonso, and on a fresh set of tyres, and from there the win was in the bag.
Come the chequered flag he finished 32.6secs clear of Alonso, the largest winning margin this year, whilst the Spaniard was 11.2secs ahead of Rosberg.
The closing laps at least threw up some entertainment as the majority of those who had pitted under the safety car saw their tyres fall away rapidly.
That allowed Webber, Rosberg and Hamilton in particular to scythe their way through on fresher rubber.
Webber should have claimed fourth but suffered a gearbox and engine issue that forced him into retirement on the final lap.
Behind the leading quintet came Massa, Button - who was running third eight laps from home - Perez, Nico Hulkenberg in his Sauber and Adrian Sutil for Force India.
As for Sutil's team-mate, Paul Di Resta, he also ran into a barrier seven laps from home - but fortunately not resulting in a safety car - leaving him without a point now for five consecutive races.
