The Great Canadian Goat Run is a 5K & 10K Road Race held in mid-November
in Brackley Beach, Prince Edward Island, Canada.
This fun filled family event is hosted by The Great Canadian Soap Company.
The Great Canadian Goat Run is a Food-Raiser for
the Upper Room Food Bank in Charlottetown, PEI.
and, starting in 2011, a Fund-Raiser to Give the Gift of Goats through Oxfam Unwrapped.

My name is Em Zember of Oldfield's Dairy. If you're not familiar with me or with Oldfield's Dairy, I started The Great Canadian Soap Company in 2005 in beautiful Brackley Beach, PEI. We make goat's milk soap and other beauty products: about 200 different items!

Over the years many of you have asked for goat's milk and cheese and I'm happy to report that we are very close to having you taste the final product!

However, opening a government inspected dairy is expensive and I am required to meet all of the same regulations as a huge processor. To obtain a hot water heater for the milking parlour, complete the plumbing in my milking parlour and get the vat operational (the tub that will contain the milk), the cost is $15,000.

So that's where my Indiegogo campaign -- and your help -- come in. You can assist me in raising the $15,000 it will take to get the dairy operational.

No matter the amount, every single contribution will help me to realize my dream of adding a new quality food product for Islanders and food lovers to enjoy.

The Truth About Eczema And Goats

Hey kiddos!

So I mentioned in my giveaway video that the reason I had been MIA from my channel was because I suffer from really bad eczema on my face. But all of that changed after my family brought me on their vacation to Prince Edward Island, Canada.

As weird as it may sound, I love goats. I think they are adorable and sweet and I love the little sounds they make. Their eyes are creepy. but that aside, I would love to have a goat one day.

So while we were on vacation I saw an ad for a goat farm so we drove about 30 minutes from our camp ground to this little farm that had a lemonade stand, a goat barn and a shop. This little place is called the Great Canadian Soap Company. It sells handmade goat milk products and is a small family owned business.

Did you know that the soaps you use in the shower that are labelled body bars and beauty bars are actually the same as laundry detergent? Well that explains why the number of people with eczema has sky-rocketed in the past year. Families used to make their own soap from Olive oil and the cream produced by goats and cows. But today most people don't even know how to make soap, so we are easily tricked into believing the things on the shelves of stores are soap.

The trick to ridding your skin of eczema is simple: use natural ingredients. Things like goat milk, shea butter, cocoa butter, lavender oil, mint oil, poppy seeds and orange oil are what make up most of the ingredient list for the products in this video. By keeping it simple and avoiding any chemicals, the skin is soothed and keeps it's natural moisture balance.

Between my mom and I we spent around 115 dollars at the Great Canadian Soap Company, and we got to play with some adorable baby goats. We even got to meet an adult goat that is a rare breed and looks like it has no ears!

1 strawberry and poppy seed goat soap muffin
125ml container of Mango Triple Butter Cream
30ml Orange Blossom Goat Milk Cream
1 tube of goat milk lip balm
