Contemporary Family Living With Views Across Macedon Ranges
Enjoying spectacular north easterly views across the Macedon Ranges from its superbly elevated position, this outstanding family home has been custom tailored for contemporary living. Set in a quiet cul-de-sac in the popular Mulbarton Estate, it boasts elegantly appointed open plan interiors and private alfresco entertaining that backs onto the Gisborne Golf Course.
Only four years old, this home is located within walking distance of Gisborne shops and cafes, sports fields, the Botanic Gardens and schools including Gisborne Primary and St Brigid’s. It also provides convenient access to the Calder Freeway for an easy CBD commute.
Hardwood floors flow from the entrance hall into a spacious living and dining area at the back of the home. In addition, there is a bright separate family room embracing the views and a large study. Sliding glass doors afford access to the covered entertaining patio and landscaped garden framed by rock feature walls.
Schemed in stone benchtops, the stunning kitchen has stainless steel fixtures including a 110mm double oven, gas cooking and dishwasher. It also incorporates an island bench with a breakfast bar and a walk-in pantry.
Accommodation is completed by a king sized master bedroom with a walk-in robe, sleek stone ensuite and garden access. There are also three bedrooms with built-ins and a stylish stone bathroom with a freestanding bath, shower and separate w/c.
Features include ducted heating and evaporative cooling, an alarm, a walk-in store room, high ceilings with downlights, a 5kW solar system, gas hot water, a 5,000L rainwater tank, a garden shed and an automatic double garage with internal access and roller door garden access.

Ron Sverdloff with ONO 59 on tickover
Ron enjoys the remarkably soft tick over of this hugely well travelled vintage Bristol - still with its original engine after 66 years and a world tour!
Ron was one of a group of 'twenty-something' friends who took this bus - ex-Eastern National 1949 Bristol K5G/ECW 2255 (ONO 59) literally around the world, to New Zealand and back, overland, between 1967 and 1969.
Thanks to the Lincolnshire Vintage Vehicle Society and bus dealer Sid Twell from Ingham, the bus survives to this day.
After 18 years' uneventful service with EN, still with its original Gardner 5LW engine, it then toured the world - and was the very first bus ever to circuit the world overland - between 1967 and 1969.
Afterwards, it became semi-derelict, but thanks to Sid Twell (via whom it was bought by the lads), it was put aside for restoration and use.
The lads converted this standard bus into a mobile caravan - as per Cliff Richard's 'Summer Holiday' and years ahead of Top Deck Travel which had a fleet of Bristol double-deckers similarly converted, with bunks/viewing area in the upper saloon, kitchen/cooking/washing-up, gas/water/fuel/stores storage and eating area in the lower saloon.
After use by the LVVS as a vehicle rally 'tender' vehicle (still in 'camper' form, also used to tow early pre-war exhibits to rallies), it has been out of use for some time as a static book, records and models store.
Full restoration back to an Eastern National bus again is due in 2015 with completion for the 50th anniversary of its pioneering departure from the Elms Hotel pub, in Leigh-on-Sea in 2017.
