Atlanta Celebrates InterPlay 2015
On October 24th, 2015, InterPlay Atlanta joined others cities in the United States and in the world to celebrate the first International Day of InterPlay. In addition to being a FUNdraising event, festivities included each city honoring an InterPlay Spirit Award to a person in their communities who had contributed significantly to the creativity and play in their area.
Here in Atlanta, we honored Lesly Fredman for the multiple creative roles she plays in our Atlanta metro area and for cross-pollinating people from such groups as Dancing Flowers for Peace, Improv, and Artist Conference Network into InterPlay.
During our celebration that took place from 1:00 to 3:30 PM, we had InterPlay stations for our guests. They were given an opportunity to affirm and be affirmed by Spirit Awardee Lesly Fredman, which engaged them in throwing rose petals and blowing bubbles. Local Atlanta InterPlayers, Gerry Cook and Joyce Kinnard, operated an exformation station, which invited people to move excess information out of their bodies. Sharon Levering performed dances on behalf of guests while her husband Wade drummed.
After guests arrived, we held a mini InterPlay session and a Soulprint Players performance. During the performance, the Soulprint Players told 3-sentence stories to honor Lesly Fredman and then invited her to tell a big body story.
As festivities continued, we got online and connected with Phil Porter and Cynthia Winton-Henry at the Body Wisdom office in California. They connected us with other InterPlay celebrants across the United States. We awarded Lesly the InterPlay story chain in front of the entire country. We also bowed and acknowledged the InterPlay leadership including our very own Jennifer Denning, who founded InterPlay Atlanta.
Before all was done and said, we sang Happy Birthday to Gerry Cook. Co-creative directors Jennifer Denning and I (Ruth Schowalter, aka Hallelujah Truth) are so appreciative to all who helped organize and create this event, those who came to the event to honor Lesly, and to the InterPlay co-founders Phil and Cynthia! Thank you!
Thanks for photos from Callahan Pope McDonough and Tony Martin as well as me, Ruth Schowalter!

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
Irish Americans (Irish: Gael-Mheiriceánaigh) are an ethnic group comprising Americans who have full or partial ancestry from Ireland, especially those who identify with that ancestry, along with their cultural characteristics. About 33 million Americans — 10.5% of the total population — reported Irish ancestry in the 2013 American Community Survey conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau. This compares with a population of 6.7 million on the island of Ireland. Three million people separately identified as Scotch-Irish, whose ancestors were Ulster Scots and Anglo-Irish Protestant Dissenters who emigrated from Ireland to the United States. However, whether the Scotch-Irish should be considered Irish is disputed.

Georgia authorities re-examining Desmond Marrow arrest
Welcome To My Channel! :: Please subscribe if you like! :D
Many thanks.
The lawyer for Desmond Marrow wants the charges agait the ex-NFL player dropped, as Georgia authorities promise to take a fresh look at his December arrest.
Footage of the Dec. 2 arrest went viral over the weekend, seemingly showing Marrow lose cociousness in a scuffle with police, in which his head is slammed into the back of a truck.
“No resistance. No struggle,” a lawyer for Marrow said at Tabernacle of Praise Church in McDonough, Ga., Monday morning, according to video posted by a local reporter. “And then the next thing you see is Desmond being flipped ... screaming for his life and choked until he’s uncocious. That is uncocionable in our United States of America.”
Marrow, who previously played for the Tampa Bay Buccanee and Houston Texa, was heard telling office: “I’m not even fighting back.” Video shows cops slamming ex-pro football player to the ground
Once the then-29-year-old football player is on the ground, a Henry County police officer puts his arm on Marrow’s throat. /I can't breathe,/ he tells the office.
Henry County Police Chief Mark Amerman said the video raises /serious concer./
/Over the coue of this investigation, there was an initial use of force investigation,” Amerman said during a press conference Monday. “Sometime after that, I found new facts that disturbed me greatly. That’s why I ordered the investigation./ Activists plan Waffle House walkout to protest Alabama arrest
Amerman said his department is checking dash cam footage and additional cell phone video in order to get a compreheive view of what happened. Marrow, seen during his short time with the Houston Texa, said he needed to stay calm and wait to release the video. (Dave Eiel/AP)
A police report, obtained by CBS affiliate WMAZ, claimed Marrow started following a car after someone in the vehicle threw a cup of coffee at him.
A cop followed the two ca to a parking lot in McDonough, located outside of Atlanta, where Marrow was in a heated argument with the other car. A witness, according to WMAZ, heard the former defeive back threaten he was “going to shoot them.”
Marrow told the Daily News last week half of the four felonies he was charged with were later dropped.
In social media videos of his church appearance Monday, Marrow explained why he waited nearly five months to release the video.
“I had to be quiet because I had four felonies,” he told the crowd. “I’m actually a calm peon in the way my parents raised me.”
Vietnamese man beaten by racist Blacks in Georgia
A young man pounded to a pulp as his attackers yelled racial slurs.
Davis Do was attacked outside McDonough's Soho bar earlier this month. He went there with his girlfriend to celebrate his 22nd birthday, but the couple never made it inside. Do was surrounded and beaten by a group of men who left him bloody and unconscious, his girlfriend said.
We thought he was dead, Do's girlfriend Gloria Harvey said.
McDONOUGH, Ga. - McDonough police have arrested four young men in connection with a violent attack that happened outside a bar in the Henry County city.
The four men surrendered Monday. One more suspect is not yet in custody.
McDonough police arrested Joshua Rashad Berry, 19, Mondarius Head, 19, Montez Quendarius McKibben, 20, and Oreterro Chanez Watson, 19, all of Jackson, on charges of aggravated assault.
Investigators say the suspects all played football at Jackson High School in Butts County. Several of them are now playing college football.
Authorities say their high school football coach played a key role in persuading the suspects to surrender.
The victim, 22-year-old Davis Do, was attacked while celebrating his birthday with his girlfriend. He suffered a broken jaw and other injuries, and was hospitalized for several days.
Do will undergo another medical procedure tomorrow.
The suspects all face aggravated battery and affray charges. The men who have surrendered are expected to appear in court Tuesday.
