Wuxi is a national historical and cultural city. It has been the land of fish and rice since ancient times. It is known as the cloth wharf, the money terminal, the kiln dock, the silk city and the rice market. Wuxi is the cradle of China’s national industry and township industry, and is known as the “Pearl of Taihu Lake.”

Visit Gongtan Old New Ancient Town in China
Gongtan is referred to as an Old New Town because it was completely rebuilt after the 1,700 year old town was submerged by a new dam. Cute little town but Fenghuang is still my gold standard for drop-dead scenic towns in China.
