Day 18: Okazaki Castle & Mikawa Bushi Museum
On my 18th day in Japan, my older son and I traveled to Okazaki to visit the Okazaki castle and Mikawa Bushi museum. We had a great time and it turned out to be a memorable experience. Unfortunately, photos and video were not allowed in most areas of the castle and museum but I did manage to acquire enough photos an video footage to produce a small video montage for your viewing pleasure. A park for the Okazaki citizens built on the castle grounds. Within the park, there are many historic sites such as the Okazaki Castle, the Ninomaru Noh Theater, and the Tatsuki Shrine. At the Mikawa Bushi Museum, associated with Ieyasu Tokugawa, you can try on warrior armor and helmets. In April when the cherry trees bloom, a beautiful scene is created with the castle in the background.

Okazaki City, the actual birthplace of Lord Tokugawa Iyeyasu.
He sprang from a line of Mikawa samurai. These warriors lived austerely and endured hardship with fortitude. Their mentality was close to the Japanese ideal. In this museum that focuses on the public figure of Lord Iyeyasu, and the daily joys and sorrows of the Mikawa warriors, immersed in objects from their age, you can easily feel what life was like for them and the changes that affected them.
徳川家康公生誕の地である「岡崎」。家康公の源流となるのが、三河武士です。三河武士は、質実剛健で、日本人の気質に一番近いとされています。ここは、家康公の人間像と苦楽をともにした三河武士たちの生き様を中心に、彼らを取り巻く時代の移り変わりを楽しみながら体験できる施設です。

Samurai Warriors: Katana - Part 52 | Invasion of Mikawa - Okazaki Castle Infiltration
The first step to Kotaro's road to conquest is Ieyasu. This stage has us storm the castle to take it over before Ieyasu returns. That means 10 minutes to defeat every enemy in the castle, including Ina at the end. You also have to get past locked doors by lock picking.
Ina is by far the hardest part, especially given you've never fought her before so it's an entirely new moveset you have to deal with along with a time limit. But you can still brute force your way through it as I do.
