Narooma is a charming independent cinema in a small NSW coastal town. It mixes first run mainstream movies with art house. Ticket prices are very reasonable and the welcome by owners, John and Jeanette, is very warm.
Make it a destination not just for the movie but for the charm of the place as Narooma harks back to when the magic was not just in the movie, but in the venue too. By the way, the Kinema is 85 years old not 80.

Kevin Bennett,
A fantastic singer, guitarist and songwriter. Kevin has played with so many people over the years, Solo, Duo, Bands and now with the Robert Johnson Tribute Show. 2011, Kevin also took home his second Golden Guitar, for Vocal Collaboration with Kasey Chambers. His first Golden Guitar was for The Flood in 2006. A seasoned performer not to be missed.
Don Hopkins
This pretty much says it all. 2nd place winners in the 2012 International Blues Challenge Solo-Duo category in Memphis. Don and Rob Grosser performed on Beale St and wowed the judges with their songwriting and performance skills. Don has worked with harmonica legend Jim Conway for many years and Don's influence is heard on all three Big Wheel albums. It will be a real treat to hear and see Don on Keyboard and singing the songs of Robert Johnson.
Cass Eager
She's been called 'one of the best female singers in Australia' by Richard Glover (ABC), and even Diesel claims she could 'sing the phone book to you and you wouldn't get bored'. Cass is a powerhouse that has travelled the world performing in such diverse locations as CBGB's in NYC to the beachfront huts in Dili. She's hit the stage with acts including the likes of John Butler Trio, Cat Empire, Ash Grunwald, Jeff Lang, Diesel, Lior, Paul Kelly and Alex Lloyd to name a few.
Her take on these Robert Johnson songs will be an adventure on the female perspective.
Adam Pringle
Adam is a guitar players guitar player. Having been lucky enough to see Adam play from the early years right up to this show, Tone is the key. Adam has a fine ear and a blistering technique that can cross many styles in one solo. A no fuss musician who knows how to make a groove and play around it. Adam has played with so many musicians there isn't space to list them all. He's an in demand player and we are lucky enough to have him coming to the Narooma Kinema.
Johnny Cass
Johnny is another all rounder. Singer, songwriter and guitarist. Playing with Simon Meli and the Widowbirds live and also on their first two releases which led to touring as support for Paul Weller and again with Tony Joe White. Johnny left the Widowbirds and went into the studio and released Tombstone Bullets. The album hit the blues and Roots charts and stayed in the top Twenty for many months. The Tribute to Robert Johnson is Johnny's concept and rest assured its in safe hands.
Ben Edwards
Ben is a most sought after bass player for some of the hottest guitar players in the country. Guitarists such as Pete Cornelius, Jeremy Edwards, Ray Beadle and Bruce Mathiske. Ben has also been called upon by the amazing songstress and acclaimed performer Suzannah Espie.
Ben is mastered many styles of music, Blues, Reggae, Rock and Roots. Laying down the groove for the rest of the band to bounce off. Ben's blues heritage goes back to legendary band Whose Muddy Shoes.
George Brugmans
George is the skins man. A great drummer who has played the beat for many of Australia's finest.
George played in Narooma with Ray Beadle in the Silver Dollars Band. George was also a member of Whose Muddy Shoes along with Ben Edwards. George is part of Jeremy Edwards and the Dust Radio Band.
Spencer Jones
Possessing one of the greatest rock voices in the country, Spencer Jones's vocal power will blow your mind. An accomplished Singer/Songwriter. Spencer has spent the most of his life behind a microphone fronting rock bands, touring and recording throughout Europe, the U.K and Australia. Spencer's list of credits include: Performances with; Jimmy Page, Adrian Smith, Scott Gorham, Asia, Deborah Bonham, Kim Mazzelle, Mica Paris, Eddie Parise and Jimmy Barnes and a swag of TV commercials.
They say the blues had a baby and they named it Rock and Roll. You will hear where the blues started and where its going on May 10th inside the Narooma Kinema. Presented in an old school radio show format. There are two very special shows on the day. 4pm and 7.45pm.
Local support act, vintage cartoons at intermission, staff walking the aisles with retro trays selling ice creams. This is a step back in time. There is nothing like this anywhere... we promise.

We filmed him back in 2004 and broadcast his performance on our community television Channel 31 program called Fandangle in Sydney Australia. Huskisson Pictures -cinema tourista
A visit to the charming single screen cinema, Huskisson Pictures on the NSW south coast. This theatre and the Inlet Cinema at Sussex Inlet, are run by the same people and both well deserve a visit. Once could go to a matinee at Huskisson and then an evening show at The inlet, or vice versa.
At both you'll find the welcome by the staff is very warm. They'll probably want to know what you thought of the movie
