Hever, Edenbridge, Kent
Hever Castle is located in the village of Hever, Kent, near Edenbridge, 30 miles (48 km) south-east of London, England. It began as a country house, built in the 13th century. From 1462 to 1539, it was the seat of the Boleyn (originally 'Bullen') family.
Anne Boleyn, the second queen consort of King Henry VIII of England, spent her early youth there after her father, Thomas Boleyn, inherited it in 1505. The castle passed to him upon the death of his father, Sir William Boleyn. It later came into the possession of King Henry VIII's fourth wife, Anne of Cleves. The castle is now open to the public as a tourist attraction.

THE HIDDEN KING OF ENGLAND
Arma Christi, Unveiling the Rose at
Jim Fetzer: This is utterly fascinating, and startling actually, Greg, I am fascinated about the part of the Jesus who was crucified, having survived and married. Can you tell us more about that, who he married and so forth?
Greg Hallett: Yes, well, the French word for ‘Initiation’ is ‘Lancement’. So the higher the initiation, the longer the lance. So Jesus was reportedly, figuratively up on a cross, getting pierced by a very long lance, which suggests that it was a very High Initiation.
I think that the initiation was this, that : Jesus was from a Royal lineage, he was based in Galilee, which is just east of Jerusalem, and he was too much trouble for the Romans in and around Jerusalem, so they gave him another Kingdom!
That kingdom was the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, which then had a combination of names as a series of small kingdoms. So he needed a reputation to precede him to go to England to set himself up as King, and this all was done with Roman Compliance, and Roman Escort, with a lot of Romans looking the other way — including Pontius Pilate et cetera.
So Jesus gets to the south-east coast of England under Roman military and diplomatic escort — and that’s actually proven and recorded in the murals on the Lord Mayor of London’s carriage, and in the Lord Mayor of London’s ceremonies today, where the Romans have spears, long lances that they’re poking at the Lord Mayor of London, in like 2012, and the Lord Mayor of London is laughing at the spears or lances.
So Jesus arrived in south-east England, he arrives up the Medway, which is the Tidal River going in south of the Thames.
Jim Fetzer: Jesus came to England!
Greg Hallett: Yes. There is a whole lot of legends about it. The second national anthem of Britain [written by William Blake: ‘And did those feet in ancient time, Walk upon England’s mountains green … Til we have built Jerusalem In England’s green & pleasant Land].
Jim Fetzer: And of course this is post, after the crucifixion …
Greg Hallett: … which didn’t happen to either of the Jesuses! If there was a crucifixion, a physical death, then it happened to someone else, which may have been a look-alike and some people suggest it was Judas. I’m not sure if it even happened.
Jim Fetzer: Continue!
Greg Hallett: But he survived, because he had a lineage, and that lineage claims to be the Monarchs of the United Kingdom and of Europe.
So Jesus arrives up the Medway, which is a Tidal River. And the Medway used to circle right round the whole south-east coast of England, which was an island, and then it was a tidal island, and then it was a spring tidal island, and then it silted up until about 1955 when it was dammed, and then in 1959, and then again in 1969 the Medway flooded over the dam and up to the top point of the stream.
The top point of the stream is called Eden, and there is Edenbridge which goes over the stream, as in ‘Garden of Eden’, and the nearest local landmark is called ‘Godstone’. And the area was covered in giant golden oaks.

Hever Castle (HD) A tour around the Castle exterior and beautiful gardens. Kent, England.
A tour around the scenic exterior of this enchanting, historic Castle and its beautiful, landscaped gardens, lake and grounds. Hever Castle, which is surrounded by its own moat, was the family home of Anne Boleyn, who became Queen of England in 1533, to Henry Vlll.
The castle is situated in idyllic countryside and has a rich history. Hever Castle formed the backdrop to some of the major events that changed the course of Britain's history. The oldest part of the Castle dates back to 1270 and consisted of the gatehouse and a walled bailey. In the early 1500s the Boleyn family bought the Castle and added a Tudor dwelling within the walls and so it became the childhood home of its most famous inhabitant, Anne Boleyn. Anne became King Henry Vlll's second wife and Queen of England. Later the castle passed into the ownership of Henry's fourth wife, Anne of Cleves. From 1557 onwards the Castle was owned by a number of families until in 1903, William Waldorf Astor restored the Castle and created the gardens and lake, which you can enjoy today.
The grounds include Italian Gardens, a maze, Anne Boleyn's walk, a fountain, Rose Garden, Rhodedendron Walk, a lake and piazza.
There is no filming inside the splendid Castle interiors so these are not featured in this film but are well worth seeing.
Hever Castle is located in Hever, near Edenbridge, Kent, England.
There are a number of special events held in the grounds of the castle throughout the year, which includes Medieval Jousting, which is the subject of one of my other films. Please visit my channel if you wish to watch it.

Medieval Jousting - Hever Castle - The Knights of Royal England
Spectacular Medieval Jousting tournament re-enacted at Hever Castle by The Knights Of Royal England.
A colourful, action-packed spectacle of courage, strength and skill performed by the Knights of Royal England in the events field, in the grounds of the historic and picturesque Hever Castle, in Kent. This film shows highlights from the authentic jousting tournament, combat displays and sword fights.
A thrilling and enjoyable show suitable for all the family, which is held annually, during the summer months.
Transport yourself back in time to the most favourite form of Medieval entertainment, an exciting and colourful pageant where you can watch mounted knights charging towards each other on their destriers, at up to 40 miles per hour, using lances to defeat and hopefully dismount their opponents. Medieval jousting tournaments were the training grounds for Knights of the Middle ages but were also great entertainment for the local people.
The Knights of Royal England are one of the premiere jousting companies in Europe and perform at a number of venues each year, including the annual Jousting Tournament at the beautiful Hever Castle where visitors can witness a spectacular 90 minute display of action, stunts, falls and fights in an authentic arena.
The Knights use the same breed of horses as were used in mediaeval times, which came from Spain and Portugal, Andalusians and Lusitanos. The riding and training of these horses has changed little over the past 7-800 years.

Donizetti - La Favorita - 'O mio Fernando' R. Kapfhammer - James Allen Gähres, cond., Ulm Philharmonic:
Lyrics
Per questa fiamma indomita
alla virtù preposta...
per quegli amari spasimi,
pel pianto che mi costa...
odi la mia preghiera:
Anna per me non pèra
innanzi al cielo e agli uomini
rea non mi far di più!
Ah! pensate che rivolti
terra e cielo han gli occhi in voi!
Che ogni core ha i falli suoi
per dovere altrui mercé.
La pietade Enrico ascolti,
se al rigore è spinto il Re.
Paintings and Photos:
1. Anne Boleyn (c.1501- May 19, 1536, executed by beheading), Queen of England from 1533 to 1536 as the second wife of King Henry VIII. Late 16th-century copy of a lost original portrait of c.1533-1536 by an unknown painter. National Portrait Gallery, London.
2. Hever Castle, Edenbridge, Kent. Anne Boleyn spent her early youth there, probably it is also her birthplace.
4. Jane Seymour (c.1508 - October 24, 1537), Queen of England from 1536 to 1537 as the third wife of King Henry VIII. Portrait by Hans Holbein the Younger, 1536. Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna.
5. King Henry VIII (June 28, 1491 - January 28, 1547). Portrait after Hans Holbein the Younger. Holbein’s most important project for Henry VIII was the mural he painted at Whitehall Palace in 1537 to demonstrate the Tudor lineage. This showed the King and Jane Seymour, with Henry VII and Elizabeth of York. Henry’s confident pose became the most recognised image of the King. The mural was destroyed by fire in 1698, but had been copied by Remigius van Leemput for Charles II. This watercolour is a copy of Leemput’s painting.
7. St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, where Jane Seymour and Henry VIII were interred.
Anna Bolena marked a turning point in the career of Gaetano Donizetti. He was already known throughout the operatic world as a successful composer of opera buffa, but his serious operas had not been accepted by the critics or the public. With Anna Bolena, an opera seria in two acts, Donizetti became one of Italy's foremost operatic composers, respected and loved internationally as well as at home.
The opera's libretto is by Felice Romani (1788-1865), after Enrico VIII, ossia Anna Balena by Ippolito Pindemonte (1753-1828), and Anna Bolena by Alessandro Pepoli (1752-1796). Anna Bolena premiered on December 26, 1830 at the Teatro Carcano in Milan.
It is the first of what are known as Donizetti's Queen operas, all set during England's Tudor period. It was both the first opera to be written and also the first chronologically in its setting. The subsequent operas show Elizabeth I, Anne's daughter, both as a foil to Mary Queen of Scots (Maria Stuarda), and as an aging, jealous lover (in Roberto Devereux). These operas are as well known for their dramatic as for their musical demands, especially for the soprano. In each, the soprano has a fiery scene that closes the opera, after some extremely demanding music preceding the last act.
The subject for the opera is taken from English history and concerns the fate of one of Henry VIII's many wives. Romani turned Anne Boleyn's life into a powerful drama of innocence and injustice, heroism, and love. The libretto is superior, and the text contains many dramatic and musical opportunities for the composer. Both acts are carefully structured, and each twist in the plot and each detail in the score moves the drama forward. Arias are carefully prepared; love scenes and conflict scenes are juxtaposed with scenes for chorus or for larger groups of players. And brilliant ensembles bring the main portions of the drama to closure.
Gaetano Donizetti (1797-1848) was among the most important composers of bel canto opera in both Italian and French in the first half of the nineteenth Century. Many of Donizetti's more than 60 operas are still part of the modern repertoire and continue to challenge singers for their musical and technical demands. Donizetti stands stylistically between Rossini and Verdi; his scenes are usually more expanded in structure than those of Rossini, but he never blurred the lines between set pieces and recitative as Verdi did in his middle-period and late works. Often compared to his contemporary, Bellini, Donizetti produced a wider variety of operas and showed a greater stylistic flexibility, even if he never quite achieved the sheer beauty of Bellini's greatest works.

Next; a shot of cadets with flags of the various colonies; held pointed down in row going up both sides of the steps of St. Paul's. -- between these lowered flags -- a most impressive symbolic gesture; the flags seem to be bowing -- 3 old men in black coats (from St. Paul's?) meet a group of people -- assorted Royalty; including the Duke of Connaught. The flags are all lifted; and the group slowly walk up the steps. -- Naval cadet guard carrying flags up the steps. Lots more of them without flags going up steps. CU flags.
