Franconia Kolsch Beer REVIEW
I review a Kolsch Beer from Franconia Brewery in McKinney, TX.
Genesee Ruby Red Kölsch (2018) | Genesee Brewing Company | Beer Review | #19
It's Day 5 of Genny Week, and we've reached the end of the work week for most, so I'm reviewing a beer that is sure to be crisp, clean and refreshing: Genesee Brewing Company's Ruby Red Kölsch. It's a German-style Kölsch brewed with ruby red grapefruit. This one was definitely thirst-quenching.
Commercial Description:
In 19th century Germany, a new style of beer began to appear around the ports of Cologne. The drinkable Golden Ale was named for its city -- Kölsch -- and it was a refreshing answer to hot summer days on the banks of the Rhine River. Inspired by our German brewing lineage, we set out to brew a refreshing Kölsch, with a 21st century update of ruby red grapefruit. The result is a crisp, bright-golden ale with a bready malt body and a mild hop bitterness that complement the perfect addition of tart, mouthwatering grapefruit. Prost!
Pertinent Information:
Brewery - Genesee Brewing Company (Rochester, NY)
Beer - Genesee Ruby Red Kölsch (2018)
Style - Kölsch (Brewed w/ natural pink and red grapefruit flavors)
ABV - 4.5%
IBU - 8
Canned On Date - N/A (Spring Seasonal, so relatively fresh)

Visiting La Cumbrecita, Cordoba + Eating German Food in Argentina
Come join us in as we sample eating German food in Argentina while visiting La Cumbrecita, Cordoba. Having an opportunity to revisit La Cumbrecita, a small town where Audrey spent some years growing up, was one of the highlights of our return trip to Argentina. In this video we show you what the small town of La Cumbrecita is all about in terms of attractions, major landmarks and things to do.
For our meal we end up trying German Food. There is a big population of German, Swiss and Austrian Argentines in this particular region of Cordoba, Argentina. With this in mind you can have some of the best German food in Argentina while visiting this region. We'd highly recommend bringing an appetite as German cuisine tends to be quite hearty.

Visiting La Cumbrecita, Cordoba + Eating German Food in Argentina:
Hey guys! We are Samuel and Audrey, a travel vlogging couple from Canada. In this travel channel we share our travel and food vlogs while touring the world.
We had the privilege of traveling around Argentina for nearly 3 months from January- April 2019 on a trip covering a large section of the country.
We kicked things off with several days in Buenos Aires where we were joined by Audrey's parents eating and sightseeing around some of our favourite neighbourhoods in the city. We then flew from Buenos Aires to Cordoba where we spent a couple of weeks in the Sierras of Cordoba visiting both La Cumbrecita and Villa General Belgrano with highlights including hiking and delicious German and Swiss cuisine.
From Cordoba, we then travelled a considerable distance on an overnight bus to Mar Del Plata just in time for a special food festival called Feria Masticar featuring the best of Argentine food and wine. We spent several days enjoying beaches and seafood before heading south to Patagonia to visit the province of Chubut.
While on the Atlantic side of Chubut we visited Puerto Madryn, Peninsula Valdes, Trelew, Gaiman and Dolavon. To summarize our time in this area, we had incredibly close encounters with wildlife including penguins, sea lions and guanacos while also experiencing Welsh culture in Argentina.
Our time in Patagonia continued as we headed from east to west trading more barren landscapes for thick forests, impressive mountains and magnificent lakes. We spent significant time in both Esquel and El Bolson with day trips to visit Trevelin, Parque Nacional Los Alerces, Cholila and Lago Puelo. Highlights included sailing, hiking, riding vintage trains and partaking in the national asado festival.
We finished visiting Patagonia with time spent in Villa La Angostura, San Martin De Los Andes and Bariloche where we enjoyed more stunning scenery and hiking. On our way back to Buenos Aires, we took the Tren Patagonia to Las Grutas before meeting up with Audrey's dad again.
To finish off our trip in Argentina, we spent more time in the capital and later Mendoza where we got to experience wine tourism to its fullest extent. Overall, we had an amazing time travelling around Argentina having only scratched the surface of this vast and diverse country.
Overall our Argentina travel series explores cities, small towns that are off-the-beaten-path, and scenic attractions with a strong emphasis on Argentina cuisine and local culture.

Welcome to my daily vlogs! TRAVEL. FOOD. COMEDY. SINGING. ANTS. LIFE.
I upload a new video every day at 7AM EST!
About Me:
My bio is pretty random: In short, I am a professional singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada who moved to Manila, Philippines which sorta became my Hollywood because my first Youtube channel MIKEYBUSTOSVIDEOS grew popular due to Filipino comedy videos. Meanwhile, I'm also a big biology geek who is obsessed with ants, so I built an internationally operating ant business supported by another popular channel called ANTSCANADA, and well basically, today I travel and tour around the world doing what I love so I wanted to start this vlogging channel, in hopes to encourage you guys to follow your dreams no matter how random, by showing you what happened when I followed mine! You just never know where life will take you when you listen to the yearnings of your heart!
The GamesCom Vlogs - Day One: Four men on a German bed edition
E3 may be filled with all the big reveals, but Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, has proper beer, which makes it infinitely better in my eyes. Who doesn’t enjoy running around a giant conference centre for hours on end with the promise of some delicious Kolsch (the local beer) to wash it all down at the end of each day? No sane person, duh! Alessandro and I are here to do lots of coverage and see ALL the things… problem is, the show hasn’t officially kicked off. What have we been up to in the meantime?
Yes, drinking beer – I thought we had established that already, but other than pretending to be refined Portuguese tourists looking for some fine cabbage soil, we got to see a certain game that rhymes with ‘Door of Shooty’. Other than that, nothing. It’s the calm before the storm, because before we know it, there won’t be time to breathe.
In the meantime, join us for our (completely almost non) raunchy SFW bed chat, where we are joined by “won’t peddle you nonsense” PR extraordinaire, Graeme Sylvan, and Cape Town comedian and Dota 2 addict (omg I made a new funny MOBA friend), Gareth Woods. We talk about what we expect to see at the Microsoft show later today, as well as what we would like to see from Gamescom as a whole. We also run off on completely unnecessary tangents pretty much all of the time.
Personally, I am most excited for Blizzard’s conference, which takes place on Wednesday. What will they be showing? Could we maybe see Warcraft 4? That would be AWESOME! Other than that, I would be happy with new info on Overwatch, or even a brand new Diablo III expansion. I’m not hard to please!
What about you? What do you want to see at this years Gamescom?
