Here Ernie tells stories of the farming history of the Kumara and also the region that you are visiting.
Ernie then takes you for a drive around his extensive kumara farm on his tractor powered train with carriages that have been fashioned from oil drums painted with matching colours of his kumara crops, on the tour you pass local collections of his memorabilia and some of his unique creations he has made, Visiting New Zealands smallest church.
Following the tour you have option of morning /afternoon tea and tasting some of warrens wife's home cooking using kumara.
This is an interesting fun trip for all ages with a lot of laugh's.

In the late 19th century Auckland's main export was kauri gum. One rich source of the gum was the swampy land around Dargaville where kauri forests had been cleared.
