New Brighton Magic tricks in The Light Cinema, Marine Point
Please watch: funny comedy original tv licence song
--~--
From a few weeks ago. Here I'm entertaining some of the young customers in The Light Cinema in New Brighton. My protégé, Kevin Jay also performs there from time to time. This was an impromptu performance made up on the spot and is therefore a bit rough round the edges but they seemed to like it. The kids involved even came back to see me on the Promenade a few days later whilst I was doing some busking to ask when they could see it on youtube. I wish I was able to keep this up but it gets a bit too much unfortunately. I love being able to go and do a bit when I'm able though. It makes me feel valuable again.

Fatal Distraction
During the summer of 2008 Aylesbury Vale District Council and Thames Valley Police acknowledged a problem Arriva bus company were having around responsible use of their transport. Typical offences included graffiti, vandalism, disorder, and criminal damage. A conventional response from the police and AVDC may have included increased police presence and enforcement activities on the buses. This time, the issue provided an opportunity to work with young people on a project, something exciting and a project young people could be involved in, furthermore, young people could own.
The i-van Project was commissioned to work with young people from The Mandeville School in Aylesbury to devise and produce a film on responsible use of public transport. The i-van Project workers, Jon and Suzi, worked with the young people throughout the whole production process from concept and script development through to post-production and editing. Giving them the fundamentals of production and technical guidance the young people were encouraged to use the equipment and develop their ideas.
The final film is a testament to the hard work, creativity and talent of all the young people involved and marks the end of what has been a fantastic first year for the i-van Project.
